Both are clipped in place, remove both with a flat blade screwdriver to remove it from the corner. The key is able to be separated and the battery can be installed and the PCB clipped into the correct position. The front cover (one that has buttons) can be clipped in the desired position. Remember to position the rubber pad to ensure that the buttons function.
The shell replacement includes key blades that need to be cut and the roll pin put in. It will also have to be programmed professionally by a locksmith or Mazda specialist. It is not suitable for the ignition or door locks. The key blade might require modification to a smaller size of 14mm.
