Seats

Most 3 wheel double buggies begin as single pushchairs. However, some models can be converted to accept a second seat with adapters. Certain models let you add an extra board for older children who are ready to walk, but require assistance.

Take a look at the Joie Evalite Duo for an ultra-lightweight option that is perfect for city streets. It's easy to move and comes with an enormous basket that has plenty of storage. It can be used to accommodate twins from birth and will accommodate two car seats or an infant carrycot and seat. The seats are required to be oriented forward and there's no room to store a bag of groceries underneath which is why you'll need a sidepack for this.

Mountain Buggy Duet will be an ideal choice if you enjoy off-road driving. It's a side by side with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy on the market. The iCandy Orange double buggies are among the most well-known available. This is due to their superb comfort. It's an all-terrain vehicle, with soft suspension to make light work of bumpy surfaces. It can be used in 30 seating configurations, and has a built-in ride-on board for older kids who prefer walking plus a 'cinema seating' mode that raises the back of the seat for better visibility.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3-wheel buggy will determine the ease with which your child/children and you can push it. A smooth ride is essential because babies feel every bump on the road, particularly if it's on rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models also have locking front wheels to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles like curbs.

Some models use air-filled tyres that provide a fantastic all-terrain ride, but can be prone to punctures, therefore, make sure you have spares in the trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres that are specifically designed to handle bumps and are less prone to punctures, however, you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable for your child's back if you decide to run.

All of this fits into its compact footprint. It is an innovative three-wheel design that includes a sling for better manoeuvrability and stability.
