Look who's here!
I am tired, exhausted by the flood of information, by the increasingly dystopian world around me, by the growing sense of futility of any effort, by the ignorance of people who elect and support their own executioners and who seem most afraid of being disturbed in their denial of reality.
As I felt myself slipping into the maelstrom of hopelessness, as my courage to carry on seemed to desert me, I said to myself: Stop! Count your blessings instead of your hurts and disappointments.
And the first positive thought is this: Look at who you have met, look who's there!
I have met people who are as kindred spirits to me as is rarely the case in everyday life. I have encountered courage, creativity, and bravery that were not required in “normal” everyday life. I have experienced decency and charity that apparently had no value when life was still “normal.” I recognized false beliefs that I would have simply continued to live by under “normal” circumstances...
But the encounter that overwhelmed me the most was with myself. With myself, whom I did not know, with the strength I did not suspect I had, with the clear scale of values and willingness to stand up for what is important to me.
Dear friends, look who's here: look at yourselves! Be true to yourselves, encounter the miracle that you are. We are the change.
We are together every day at 3:00 p.m. London time for a few moments of manifested confidence. Thank you for being here.
