Accommodation during participation in the rockclimbing and other active programs on the island of Mallorca can be organized in conditions that are maximally adapted to the wishes of the participants. Mallorca has a very well-developed tourist and hotel infrastructure, which includes the hotels and other accommodation options - apartments, villas.
The most characteristic accommodation option for Mallorca is a country villa (Finca). This option is optimal for a small groups (6-12 people) or family holidays, as it provides vacationers with completely autonomous and independent housing in a picturesque place, as a rule, with excellent transport accessibility to other infrastructure facilities. Finca, house of Mallorca, is the most popular type of accommodation.
The main country house, as a rule, is an old mansion of the 19th - early 20th century, completely rebuilt for the specifics of a seasonal family vacation. 3-4 bedrooms, several modern bathrooms, a quality modern kitchen, a large living room with a fireplace - this basic set of amenities is usually found in any property in this category. Also, most of the villas have a stationary outdoor pool, terrace, barbecue area, etc. The villa accommodation format is the most popular accommodation option in Mallorca. Most of the objects are booked long before the start of the high season and never go unnoticed by tourists.
The next most popular among the guests of the island of Mallorca is hotel accommodation. This is a slightly different format of residence than a villa. As a rule, hotel accommodation is chosen by individual tourists who prefer separate accommodation without the need for additional living conditions. It is clear that cooking and washing in the hotel rooms will not work, but restaurant and laundry services are always available.
The choice of hotels in Mallorca is huge - from fairly simple to exclusive luxury hotels - the final choice is limited only by taste and budget. Most of the hotels are located in the coastal zone, which makes this accommodation option also quite convenient in terms of logistics, even if the main part of the group lives in a villa - with a huge quantity of the offers, you can always find closely located options that do not require long journeys to collect all program participants.
The third accommodation option in Mallorca is accommodation in private apartments. This is the most practical low-cost option, if the number of the participants in the program or the budget does not require the use of more expensive accommodation options. Apartments are a very inexpensive and comfortable alternative to staying in a hotel or villa. Most of the objects of this category have a full range of amenities for long-term residence - a kitchen, a washing machine, the Internet - in almost any offer for renting an apartment, this minimum set remains unchanged.
A feature of Mallorca is that spontaneous camping is prohibited almost throughout the island - that is, you can’t just set up a tent and spend the night wherever you want (but if you really want to ... then you can - observing all the norms of outdoor ethics and not attracting the attention of others). Also, the number of stationary places for camping is very small, they can not even be taken into account as an option - this type of accommodation should not be considered when planning your vacation in Mallorca.
When planning a trip to the island of Mallorca, you should keep in mind the fact that the influx of tourists and the workload of infrastructure has clear seasonal boundaries. For example, during the winter season from November to March, almost 90% of accommodation facilities are available for booking, with the exception of those that are closed for the low season (large hotels). But from May to September, you usually can’t find available options, only if you don’t take care of booking much in advance, in January or February.
