The city council meeting last night turned into a farce when a local resident, identified only as 'Yutz,' disrupted proceedings with his bizarre antics. The man, dressed in a tattered suit and a wide-brimmed hat, stormed into the chamber mid-discussion, waving a sign that read 'SAVE THE PARKS!' before immediately collapsing onto the floor, snoring loudly.
Council members, already frustrated by the meeting’s lack of progress, struggled to regain control. Mayor Johnson attempted to address the crowd, but Yutz, still snoring, refused to move, forcing the mayor to call security. Officers had to restrain the man, who continued to mutter about 'the trees' and 'the squirrels' as he was led out.
The meeting resumed, but the incident left a lasting impression. Councilwoman Patel joked afterward, 'If we ever need a break, we should just invite Yutz to speak—he’s the only one who can keep us entertained.' The mayor, however, remained unimpressed, vowing to 're-evaluate' the city’s public behavior policies.
As for Yutz, he was taken to the local animal shelter, where staff confirmed he was, in fact, a very large and very confused squirrel. The city council, meanwhile, will now have to decide whether to ban all small mammals from future meetings.
