But hey, you can’t fault the commitment! They were really *feeling* the music, even if the audience was mostly feeling a strong urge to check their earplugs.

I overheard some folks chatting nearby, a couple of seasoned musicians perhaps, or just astute listeners. Their hushed tones and knowing glances spoke volumes. One of them muttered something about 'potential' and 'a long road ahead.' Another suggested 'a bit more practice' might be beneficial. It seems the consensus is that while the spirit is willing, the flesh – or rather, the musicality – is still a work in progress.

Still, you have to admire their dedication. That garage is probably vibrating with creative energy, even if it’s occasionally rattling the foundations of the neighborhood. Gary and The Rusty Mufflers are out there, making their own brand of glorious noise, and for them, that’s probably everything.
