Continue reading We got the chance to try out Starbird through a Yelp Elite Week credit, and it was impressive how hot/crispy the chicken was despite its journey from Jingletown. Nothing was dry, and the packaging was great even if the grease had started making the bag clear. Our 20 bone-in wings were split between Sweet Thai Chili and Honey Chipotle BBQ. There was the option to pick drums/flats, and since we didn't care, our wings were mostly drums (presuming most people pay the extra $1 for flats). The wings came with a choice of 4 sauces, though the chicken is flavorful enough without them. Star Sauce is the standard SPECIAL sauce (so a celebration of mayonnaise). We also had two Nashville hot tenders. We didn't opt for blazing, and the tendies ended up being not so spicy with strong lemon blasts. Tasty, but the wings were better. Delivery was timely, off by just a few minutes.

The dolmades had dill (yum), and the melantzani (eggplant) salad was really good, lots of lemony tang and not mushy, perfect toothiness = had lots of texture without being fibrous or pithy. I had the chicken souvlaki platter which was awesome because the outside of the chicken had the grilled-on flavor and browning, and the inside was tender and moist. Good quality meat too, which they didn't mess up. Greek seasoning on good chicken is unique and hearty. I'm Greek so I know when it's done right. The rice and grilled tomato and zucchini were delicious as well. Pita was good but not stand out. It's was a decent vehicle for the tsatsiki sauce and meat anyway. The weakest thing was the fries which were mediocre, which isn't normal for a Greek food kitchen but I don't care because I'll go back for all the rest of it!

I enjoyed it when it was the Grill and the reviews on Nextdoor were good for this new business. I tried the 1/4 burger, it comes with fries. The watermelon lemonade sounded good so I got one of those too. Everything was delicious, nice juicy burger, ripe tomatoes, and the fries were perfect. Golden brown, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The watermelon/lemonade was refreshing, not too sweet. Some fresh lemon slices in it make it slightly tart. I'm looking forwards to trying the fish tacos and fish and chips. And they are open on Saturdays, the old place was not. I thought the prices were reasonable too, the burger and fries were $8 and the lemonade, $3.

Christopher and Luis fit the bill -- on time, efficient, professional, no nonsense. Everything was explained, they took good care with my things, and Christopher and Luis worked smoothly as a team. I also had no concerns about COVID as they took all precautions. Moving is hell and stories about shady moving companies are well known, but these guys performed exactly as advertised and I would definitely use them again.
