DESPITE going to court to keep the footage and photos of a boozy clinch with Calum Best out of the papers, it seems that Lizzie Jagger might not mind getting her kit off for Playboy. "I've been asked to pose for Playboy," the 20-year-old model told The Sunday Telegraph." She is apparently giving "serious consideration" to the £200,000 offer by the magazine to take what it says will be a "very tasteful" set of nude photographs. Lizzie's father Mick, meanwhile, will surely do all he can to prevent her from taking it up. "Mick hit the roof when he found out," a friend told the paper. AN ARTIST whose nude paintings once sparked controversy is back with a new exhibition created in a motor home.

Lizzie Van Dottie, aunt of former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw, has launched the two-part exhibition, Hard Headed Woman, at the Riverside Gallery, High Street, Uppermill, Saddleworth, near Oldham.

Two years ago, her work was censored for being too raunchy when it went on display at the MET Gallery, Bury.

Her life paintings were deemed too graphic for schoolchildren to see - and covered up before 700 converged on the gallery.

Now the 58-year-old grandmother is back with a new 12-piece exhibition of pastel paintings created in the back of her 20-ft long motor home which she moved into on a farm in Ashton under Lyne, three years ago after financial difficulties forced her to quit her home.

The cramped conditions did not stifle her creativity while working on the new collection about the female nude and images inspired by her travels.
Expressive

"I was never going to be censored because I'm an expressive artist," said Lizzie. "If anybody is going to censor my work it's going to be me and nobody else.

"The people who tried to censor my work are controllers, it was not pornography or filth. You go to Florence or New York and there are naked figures all over the place.

"I love to travel and I'm a people person and that inspires my work."

Lizzie's work also looks at the changing face of Ashton, with one display entitled After the Fire focusing on the aftermath of the devastating blaze that destroyed the town's historic market.

Lizzie only started painting at the age of 50 because she didn't want to lead a "mundane life".

Prints of Lizzie's work, Blue Guitar - Ballad of John and Yoko, are sold world-wide via the Beatle Story, Albert Dock, Liverpool.

Lizzie said: "I would say to anybody don't let the people who run the world stop you from what you want to do, and that is hard."

The show runs until October 21.
