Living Your Ministry's Vision

Living Your Ministry's Vision

Expanding the Vision

The organization, which you lead, once the vision is developed, communicated and accepted it is time to live the vision. Live the vision? Live the vision, yes if the vision is real, it cannot be left in a small box and stored somewhere for reference and only brought out when you are in front of the organization. In ministry whether we like it or not, the reality is we are watched and the expectation is high from the ministry members, from those in the church outside the ministry and from those friends outside the church. Living what we have laid down, as the ministry vision will be critically important.

Maybe you want to go back and revisit the vision statement. If so, go ahead.

For iron to sharpen iron, in your ministry you will be expected to be the lead sharpener. The vision sets the tone for everything you will do and everything you expect. Too many times the vision is announced and never revisited. The vision will need to be communicated over and over verbally and through your actions and the actions of the ministry.

If your vision, for example is to Love God, love our families, love each other and love the community. This is intentionally touching all areas and driving the ministry to be outward facing. Each part of the vision needs to be lived all the time. Loving God through private action, of prayer, worship and Bible study and public action of active church attendance, active support of the Pastor and being seen as the one who demonstrates love for others. Then loving family through true devotion to the family, loving your wife like Christ loved living church youtube channel

church that He died for her, big order but one I must strive to live up to. Love your children bring them up in a Godly way, don't frustrate your children. Live as a consistent example for them. Love the members of the ministry by lifting them up supporting them, listening and building Godly Friendships. There are a lot of hurting people in the ministry with you. Community, the value of the work will be seen in the impact on the community. Do things to take care of people's physical needs, putting them in a position to listen to your Gospel Message. Jesus said they would know Me by the love you have for one and other.

The vision should be communicated over and over verbally and through the actions of the leadership and the actions of the men in ministry The actions, as always, speak louder than the words. The words are important as you act out the vision, point back to the vision statement by remembering to the members, that vision statement and how what you are doing is acting in reference to and supportive of that vision statement.

Through actions that are always consistent with your vision you will see that the results are iron sharpens iron in your life, in your family, in the ministry and in the community.
