Jonny Dylan is determined to maintain his plastic look even if doctors and his boyfriend disapprove
A MAN who is a self-proclaimed "living Ken doll" says nothing will stop him achieving his dream of looking completely fake, despite health warnings from doctors.
Jonny Dylan, 27, was raised in Hong Kong but now lives in Vancouver with his boyfriend, Joel, who disapproves of Jonny's extravagant lifestyle.
Jonny has regular Botox injections and fillers and admits to spending around £650 ($800) every month on maintaining his striking plastic look.
Jonny explained: "When I was five years old, I got my first Ken doll. It was a Malibu Ken.
“He had blonde highlights, blue eyes, and dark eyelashes. He was tan with good bone structure.
“When I first saw the Ken doll, I knew that that was what perfection meant to me.
"I knew that I was going to pursue that.”
The Ken enthusiast spends hours on achieving his look; slathering himself in fake tan, making sure his nails are manicured and his makeup is perfectly contoured.
Jonny even uses eye-colour changing contact lenses to make his brown eyes a more Ken doll-like blue.
He said: “I started getting fillers about two years ago and definitely now I am really known for my big lips.
“I’m still not happy with the size though, I want them to be much bigger.
“I was refused fillers recently because the doctor thought my lips were already really big and that it would be dangerous to get more filler.
“But I have seen people with bigger lips than mine so I knew I would find someone else to do it and I did.
"I got the filler but still not the amount that I want”
Jonny’s partner of two years, heavy duty mechanic, Joel said: “We are total opposites.
“I think plastic surgery and stuff is a waste of money. I don’t judge anyone but I would never get anything done myself.
“I do worry about the amount of procedures Jonny goes through because I think it is quite extreme and could be dangerous.”
Jonny, who blogs under the name Jonny Ken Doll online, says he will never stop getting cosmetic procedures and is planning on having a nose job.
Jonny and his boyfriend Joel met on gay dating site Grindr and have been together for two years.
Jonny said: "Joel loves my look, he met me like this. He thought I was drop dead gorgeous when he met me.
“But he does like me a little more on a natural side. He likes how I look at home without the make-up. He loves the way I look without the fillers.
“Joel doesn’t really like plastic surgeries and fillers and Botox and all that stuff. He definitely would never do any of that. He is a manly guy and doesn’t care for any of that.”
Jonny says he would never leave the house without make-up and says he would hate to look like a "basic b***h".
His fascination with cosmetics began at a young age and he attended makeup school after leaving college.
“My parent’s reaction when I first starting wearing makeup was not that great. Especially my mum, she didn’t like me wearing it at all.
“I used to go to school early to put my makeup on and wash it all off before they picked me up.
“Now though, everything is totally fine. They know that makeup is something I love and they are super comfortable with it.
“My family do think that I look really fake. They definitely do prefer me looking more natural than artificial but when I look in the mirror, I think I look gorgeous!”
Jonny's best friend Jonathan encourages him to live his dream and the pair regularly go to get Botox and fillers together.
Jonathan, who has been friends with Jonny for years said: “I think Jonny is a real inspiration. He has shown me that being yourself is all that matters and that is true happiness.
“I look up to him and I would never discourage him from getting surgeries or procedures to look like a Ken doll. I think that he should go for whatever makes him happy.”
And Jonny is comfortable with the reactions he gets from the public.
He said: “I do get a lot of reactions to my look but usually people love it.
“People come up to me in the street and tell me I’m gorgeous and that I look fabulous.
“There are definitely haters out there that just don’t get it but I really don’t care what they think.
“I don’t care about how they look so they shouldn’t judge me on how I look.
“It’s my life and I’m allowed to live it the way I want to.
"Nothing will stop me from getting to my goal of looking like a Ken doll - I would do anything to get there."

“Celebrity Big Brother” star and so-called “human Ken Doll” Rodrigo Alves has come out as transgender, the 36-year-old revealed to the Mirror on Sunday.
“I’m known as Ken but inside I’ve always felt like Barbie,” Alves, who will now go by Roddy and use “she” and “her” pronouns, tells the Mirror while wearing a dress and heels. “I finally feel like the real me. Glamorous, beautiful and feminine.”
Alves has reportedly spent more than $650,000 to achieve her Ken Doll-like look — including having four ribs removed , a “cat-eye” lift and so many nose surgeries that it began sinking and disintegrating — and has now spent even more to achieve a D-cup bust and bigger hips and lips.
She has also deleted all previous posts from her Instagram , which now exclusively features photos of Alves as Barbie, not Ken.
The years of previous plastic surgery were an attempt to live as an enhanced version of her assigned male sex, says the Brazil-born London resident. Now that she identifies with Barbie instead of Ken, she finally feels content.
“For years I tried to live my life as a man. I had a fake six-pack put in, I had fake muscles in my arms, but I was lying to myself,” she says. “I’m a woman and have always had a feminine brain. Now my body matches my mind.”
She’s been enjoying the male attention her new female looks get her, and is excited to finish her transformation with gender reassignment surgery.
“I will have a penile inversion and my testicles will be removed. That will be the final step,” says the former flight attendant. “Before that I’m having silicone breast implants. I’ll be able to wear dresses that show my cleavage and look sexy. I’m very excited.”
Face feminization surgery, involving a forehead reshaping, the removal of Alves’ Adam’s apple and the shaving of her jawline, are also soon to come, she says.
Alves realized she wanted to transition during a photo shoot last year, she says, but she’s long been aware of certain feminine tendencies.
“Growing up, I was very feminine and used to play with dolls and wear my mum’s dresses and heels,” she says, adding that she had breasts as a kid, due to her body producing more estrogen than most males.
After the shoot, though, her transformation into Barbie was rapid.
“Within a month I was diagnosed with gender dysmorphic disorder and given the option to start the appropriate medication to transition,” she says. “Before, people looked at me because I looked very androgynous and weird for a man. Now I hope they are looking because they think I am a beautiful woman.”

Some have an obsession with sports, others with their pets. For Justin Jedlica, however, it's a passion for designing the perfect body. In fact, the Los Angeles resident has undergone so many procedures that he's known as "the Human Ken Doll."
Although some may call Jedlica's fixation extreme, he views it merely as a way to improve features that already exist. "It seems pretty normal...I like to re-think the wheel," he told AOL Lifestyle. "It's an innovation on things that are already there."
The 39-year-old says his fixation with plastic surgery started at an early age and was spurred by his childhood in a low-income family.
"I think in my brain, wealth and fame came in tandem with plastic surgery ," he said. "I began to stockpile my money as a kid and save."
But it was really Jedlica's experiences as a gay man that led him to bite the plastic surgery bullet.
"I tried to fit in and then that didn't make me feel comfortable and I still didn't really mesh in," Jedlica recalled.
So far, he estimates he's undergone 780 procedures, including peck, bicep and tricep implants, five nose jobs, a brow lift, augmentations to his cheeks and lips and more. The hundreds of procedures have cost him around $800,000 and have landed him quite the status in the plastic surgery circuit.
"There was a business to be had here," he explained. "I wanted to point people in the direction of the best plastic surgeons, the people that I sanctioned as the best."
Jedlica even custom designs implants for clients and friends, a work that he calls "pioneering."
"I don't have a problem using myself as the guinea pig," he said. "When I go into doctors, I don't say I go in for consultations anymore, because really I go in to pitch."
