Livia Brito Pestana was born on the 21st July 1986, in Ciego, Avila, Cuba; she is the daughter of Gertrudis Pestana and actor Rolando Brito Rodriguez, and spent her childhood and early puberty in Cuba, and then when she was between 13 and 14 years old, her family moved to Mexico. Her father started a restaurant with Cuban dishes, named La Cubana, and young Livia served as a waitress, while also trying herself as a model. When it comes to her education, she studied acting at Televisa’s Centro de Educacion Artistica (CEA).

Livia’s career start was quite successful; in 2010 she was selected for the part of Fernanda Sandoval in the telenovela “Triunfo Del Amor” (2010-2011), co-starring Victoria Ruffo, Maite Perroni, and William Levy, and continued with being selected for the starring role of Paloma in another telenovela “Abismo De Pasion” (2012), this time featuring next to Bianca Guerra, Sabine Moussier, and Eugenia Cauduro. The following year, Livia made her film debut as she was cast as Chantal in the comedy-drama film “No Sé Si Cortarme Las venas o Dejármelas Largas”, then continued with more film roles, as Ana Bertha Miranda in the comedy-drama film “Volando Bajo”, then in another comedy-drama “La dictadura perfecta”.

Gradually, Livia was becoming more popular ,and new roles were being offered to her on a daily basis. Through 2014 and 2015 she was in the lead role of Fiorella in the telenovela “Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse”, and was slowly turning into a star when in 2016 she played Maricruz Guardia in the telenovela “Por Siempre Joan Sebastian”, while in 2017 she secured yet another prominent role, as Yolanda Cadena in another telenovela “La Piloto” (2017-2018).

Most recently, Livia featured in the TV series “40 y 20” (2018) and is working on two films – “Juan Apóstol, El Más Amado”, and “Infelices para Siempre”, which are scheduled for release in 2020.

Following the end of “Triunfo Del Amor”, Livia Brito continued her rise to stardom by taking the supporting role of Paloma Gonzales in Televisa’s telenovela “Abismo De Pasión” (2012), written by Caridad Bravo Adams and produced by Angelli Nesma Media, and it also earned her the Best Young Lead Actress award for the second year in a row. She then made her feature film debut appearance in the role of Chantal in the 2013 comedy-drama film “No Sé Si Cortarme Las Venas O Dejármelas Largas”, written and directed by Manolo Caro.
Between 2013 and 2014, Livia landed her first lead role as Natalia Pabuena in Lucero Suárez’s telenovela “De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero”, that is a remake of Venezuelan telenovela “Carita Pintada”. It was followed by her portrayals of Ana Bertha Miranda in the musical comedy-drama film “Volando Bajo”, directed by Beto Gómez, and Jazmín in Luis Estrada’s comedy political satire film “La Dictadura Perfecta”, both in 2014.
Thereafter, Livia Brito accepted only major roles in popular series – from 2014 to 2015, she starred as Fiorella Bianchi in the telenovela “Muchacha Italiana Viene A Casarse”, along with Jose Ron. Her next significant role came in 2016, when she was selected to play Maricruz Guardia in the biographical TV miniseries “Por Siempre Joan Sebastian”, which follows the life of the late Mexican singer Joan Sebastian. In 2018, Livia Brito had such small parts as Eugenia in an episode of the American anthology TV series “Descontrol”, and Mayra in an episode of the Mexican TV comedy series “40 Y 20”.
