Me and few of my friends visited last saturday Mouline Rouge in Amsterdam.We have never seen anything like this.Some acts were really funny and sexy but what was really amazing was live sex show.Really action sex,in one moment we had shock,it looked as if the man broke the legs of his partner.We canot complain for nothing,also barstaff was very friendly.Great evening though,fully recommend it.We dont understand why are so many negative reviews,we really had a lot of fun.
We paid €35 and got a free drink. We were taken to the nearest seats (bad view) on the side of the stage not around the bar. First act was a couple who had 'sex' to the rhythm of Rammstein! Not a very sexy song! Very fake but again very funny! 2nd act was a girl with a pen, who drew 'BAD BOY' on someone's chest with her hoo hoo. 3rd act was struggling to find someone to get up with her so me and a 2 girls got up. We danced with her and then she unleashed a banana. We all in turn had to get on all 4's and take a bite of the banana. 4th act was a lady pulling ribbon out and wrapping a gent up in it. Was only in an hour as only 4 acts on, worth a laugh!
'When in Rome'.... Or Dam as this case maybe, we decided to go and watch a Sex Show. We opted for the Moulin Rouge... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. When the second act couldn't tempt one member of the room to a free lap dance that is saying something. In the heart of the red light district, in a venue full of people who have PAID to see a sex show, a room with a hand full of stag parties - no one wanted to get up there. Honestly, from start to finish this was a low budget, cheap feeling, uncomfortable viewing. Ooh, and the waitress... what a delight and well mannered person. NOT - so unaccommodating. Maybe she was just having a bad day but she was rude.

Me and 'the wife' chose this out of the few options that were on offer. The atmosphere was crowded (in a bad way) and after a few acts everyone had to leave as it was the end of the show. We complained we had only seen a few acts and were allowed to stay for the next show. It transpired that we had seen the whole show, which was only 4 acts. There was almost nothing erotic about the show. Sometimes it was entertaining, especially when a chap called Alan was ushered up to the stage as part of the terribly tame audience participation. To sum it up, you pay €35 (so €70) as a couple, for the chance to sit next to a desperate adolescent who's hand kept disappearing down his trousers, to watch 4 or maybe 5 'acts' only one of which could be described as s£x , and then only when the guy finally managed to ' get it up'. We would have happily paid €10 each for 20 mins (as that's all it was) of light hearted comedy. €35 euros each is utterly taking the pi$$ for this poor excuse of an attempt. Our advice would be : if you want to see what the show promises then stay in your hotel, order room service and watch yourselves in the mirror. It will be cheaper, more fun and definitely better to watch.
Went to see this show with my boyfriend. I'd say it was aimed at younger couples as were weren't the only ones in there. We paid 35 euro each and both got two free drinks. The girl behind the bar was awesome, super friendly and a good laugh! The show itself was more comical than sexy. We had some laughs and enjoyed the 5 different acts. This place is good for giggles with your partner and friends, wouldn't recommend for a stag do. Worth a visit for a fun night out.

With its neon pink dancing elephant sign, it sits at the heart of the Red Light District and is by far the most famous and popular sex club in Amsterdam known for the variety of shows/acts they offer. Although it is the oldest sex show/theater in Amsterdam the venue is still relatively clean (for a sex show theater), staff are all very professional and the venue is set up like a movie theater with the option of ordering/having drinks during the show.
The largest draw to this club is its live sex shows which usually includes and male and female having some choreographed sex, with individual performers in between playing with props and doing some light BDSM. Each act is on for between 5-10 minutes with a fairly quick rotation. On occasion (but not at every show) there can be some ‘volunteer based’ audience participation (unlike at the Moulin Rouge where they encourage lots of audience participation) where ‘volunteers’ can expect to get stripped, squirted, and asked to stick objects into places that would make your mother blush. This club is also more friendly to mixed gender audience which is also not the case for some of the other shows in the district which cater more to heterosexual men (like the Banana Bar).
Reservations can be made or groups of 10 or more and this venue is popular with hen/stag parties since it is one of the largest venues able to accommodate 180 people at a time. Although it is one of the most popular clubs in Amsterdam due to its large size getting in with a small group (1-9 people) without a reservation is usually no problem but for larger parties it is recommended to make a reservation to make sure everyone can be sat near each other. Another bonus to this venue worth noting is that the theater is air conditioned which is so nice during the hot summer months 🙂 One thing to note is that audience members are able to come and go at any point during the show so there is a continuous coming and going occurring which can be pretty distracting and can be pretty irritating depending on where you are sitting in your row as you have to stand up to let people in/out frequently and/or change your own seat. We found that this took away from the overall experience to some degree.
This risque sex show is more theatrical and more of what you think of when you imagine a Red Light District show to be like. There is theater seating and a main stage where the performers (mix gender so there is fun for all) do their thang, and 4 ‘acts’ per hour with breaks in between each for you to chat and get a drink. Each act usually involves a prop of some kind and is usually performed with humor and encouraged audience participation (verbal). These shows are different from their ‘live sex show’ where a couple has sex in front of the audience and although these are advertised as running regularly, that is not always the case so you may have to wait for one of these shows. If you plan on coming with a group you can make reservations in advance and for larger groups you are sometimes able to get a group discount so it’s worth asking.
One of the more popular (with straight men) sex clubs in Amsterdam where the waitresses mill around serving drinks but you can pay to have them do “a little extra”. Girls can provide lap dances, do sex tricks with bananas, vibrators, and can even ‘write you a postcard’ in the most creative way you can imagine 😉 Think strip club gone wild with bananas. This club is best for groups (like stag/bachelor parties).

Casa Rosso is without doubt the most famous and well known of all the Amsterdam sex shows. The club can be easily found due to the large neon pink elephant adorning the front of the building in the heart of the Red Light District . Casa Rosso has strong links to the almost equally famous Banana Bar, found not far away on the same canal, but the layout here is much more of a theatre set up than the more free flowing, lounge-like Banana Bar .

Appropriate to its claims of being the oldest live sex theatre in the Amsterdam Red Light District, the venue here is larger and cleaner than for many other sex shows, with an impressive capacity of 180 seats. The room is air conditioned for those sweltering summer months, although the performers certainly aren't wearing enough to benefit, and there is a decent sized bar, which you may not need to use thanks to the attentive table service.
The atmosphere of Casa Rosso is much friendlier to women than in other sex shows, including the Banana Bar, and you will often find groups of girls or couples among the audience. The club gets a lot of business from stag and hen (bachelor and bachelorette) parties and takes bookings for groups of no less than ten, so be prepared to meet some quite large and excited groups of revellers.
The live shows available here are pretty much the same as can be found at most Amsterdam sex shows and consist of strip tease acts, with both male and female strippers, light S&M shows and various adult tricks involving props such as bananas and pens. Of course, the biggest draw is the live sex acts and these are certainly well in attendance. These acts usually consist of a man and woman performing some very well choreographed and acrobatic sex acts with each other and form the main part of the show, with single performer acts happening in between. Some acts have limited audience participation, but much less than can be found elsewhere, such as in the Moulin Rouge Amsterdam a little further along the canal.
Entrance to Casa Rosso does not come cheap, but neither is it so expensive as to make it impossible to visit. With a standard entrance ticket costing €45, it may be a hit to your wallet but can be worth it as, once inside, there are no additional costs other than the price of your drinks. This is a big difference to some shows, where shows are more personal and each lapdance or performance trick costs an extra fee. If you're worried about the mounting costs of drinks, then a combined ticket including two drinks costs €55.
This may be the most popular show the Amsterdam Red Light District has to offer, but the venue's large size means that getting in is usually not a problem. For large groups such as stag parties, booking can be a good idea but, as mentioned above, only if your group is of ten people or more.
