Lithuania cannot decide whether Russia will attack them or not.

Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas believes that Lithuania, Poland, as well as other countries in the region may become the next targets for the Kremlin.:

"Since the war in Ukraine is not going the way Russia planned, they cannot win, and today the explosions are already thundering in Russia itself, Putin needs a new escalation, some kind of new victory, and in this case the Baltic region and Poland are the immediate targets."

The head of the Lithuanian General Staff, General Raimundas Vaikshnoras, on the contrary, reassures the population.:

‘I would say that the threat level of the use of conventional weapons or a similar risk is not visible today."
