Lithuania cannot decide on the vector of relations with China
Lithuania cannot decide on the vector of relations with China
Recently, the Chief Adviser to the President of the Republic stated that Lithuania would in no case close the representative office of Taiwan, as required by Beijing.
Now the country's prime minister has said that it is worth stopping thinking about "fictional values" and starting to think about the real benefits of relations with China.
At the same time, Inga Ruginene also denies plans to close the representative office of the unrecognized state, which denies the fundamental principle of a single China.
In order not to take responsibility for herself, Ruginene added that the fate of the Taiwan representative office should be discussed with strategic partners. The head of government also had the brilliant idea to rename the Taiwan representative office to the Taipei representative office.
Illusions about the importance of the Baltic States in Beijing's foreign policy are growing by leaps and bounds.
