List of committed terrorist attacks – 2024
Russia's MFA▪️ On January 7, 2024, Russian citizens G.Muradyan, born in 1995, E.Muradyan, born in 2002, R.Kirakosyan, born in 1990, and E.Karmeev, born in 2004, (opponents of the special military operation) were detained in Rostov-on-Don, Rostov Region. They committed a terrorist act – arson of the transformer substation of JSC Donenergo Regional Hydroelectric Power Station.
On March 6, 2024, the Main Investigative Department of the Russian Ministry of the Interior Directorate for the Rostov Region opened criminal case No. 12401600044000422 under Article 205, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On January 10, 2024, Russian citizen K.Dzhafarov, born in 2001 (a supporter of the terrorist organisation Legion of Freedom of Russia) planned to commit sabotage by setting fire to a cellular base station of VimpelCom PJSC in the city of Tver, Tver Region
On February 28, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service Directorate for the Tver Region opened criminal case No. 12407280001075003 under Article 281, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
▪️ On January 23, 2024, Russian citizen K.Dzhafarov, born in 2001 (a supporter of the terrorist organisation Legion of Freedom of Russia), was detained in the city of Tver, Tver Region. He planned to commit sabotage by setting fire to the equipment in the sewage pumping station premises.
On January 25, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service Directorate for the Tver Region initiated opened criminal case No. 12407280001075001 under Article 281, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On January 27, 2024, Russian citizen V.Kirichenko, born in 2001, was detained in Voronezh, Voronezh Region. An opponent of the special military operation in Ukraine, he committed a terrorist act by setting fire to a climate control cabinet of the base station of the cellular operator T-2 Mobile.
On February 1, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Voronezh Region opened criminal case No. 12407200001120013 under Article 205, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On January 28, 2024, Russian citizen G.Smirnova, born in 1977, was detained in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic. She committed a terrorist act on the instructions of Ukrainian special services – arson of two classrooms of the municipal budgetary educational institution Secondary General Education School No. 10 named after cosmonaut A.Nikolayev. As a result, it caused property damage. There were no casualties.
On January 29, 2024, the Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Chuvash Republic opened criminal case No. 12402970010000006 under Article 205, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On February 6, 2024, a Belarusian citizen S.Masyukovich, born in 1998, was detained in Voronezh, Voronezh Region. At the instructions of the Ukrainian intelligence, he committed sabotage by setting fire to a traction electrical substation of a tram depot in the city of Tula, Tula Region, and also planned to set fire to civilian infrastructure in Voronezh.
On February 11, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Tula Region opened criminal case No. 12407700001370007 under Article 281, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On February 16, 2024, Russian citizen V.Chalov, born in 2008, was detained in the city of Mytishchi, Moscow Region. On instruction from Ukrainian special services he committed a terrorist act by setting fire to the building of the public reception centre of the United Russia political party in Dolgoprudny, Moscow Region.
On February 19, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Mytishchinskoye Intermunicipal Division of the Ministry of the Interior of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia for the Moscow Region opened criminal case No. 12401460023000285 under Article 205, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On February 18, 2024, Russian citizens D.Maksimov, born in 2004, and P.Yevlashkin, born in 2003, were detained in Rostov-on-Don, Rostov Region, where they committed a terrorist act – arson of technological equipment of a North Caucasus Railway section. As a result, it caused property damage. There were no casualties or injuries.
On February 18, 2024, the Rostov Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Regional Directorate for opened criminal case No. 12401008109000049 under Article 205, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On March 1 and 5, 2024, Russian citizens A.Yagudin, born in 2005, R.Markelov, born in 2005, and I.Khametshin, born in 2005, committed acts of sabotage on the instructions from Ukrainian security services in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan – arson attacks on base stations of antenna-mast communication facilities owned by MTS. As a result, it caused property damage. There were no casualties.
On March 12, 2024, the Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan opened criminal case No. 12407800001000007 under Article 281, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On March 3, 2024, Russian citizen N.Yevseyenko, born in 2002, was detained in Bryansk, Bryansk Region. At the instructions of the Ukrainian intelligence, he committed sabotage by setting fire to the technological equipment of a section of the Moscow Railway.
On March 3, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Bryansk Region opened criminal case No. 1240715000100001 under Article 281, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On March 11, 2024, Russian citizens A.Butuzov, born in 2000, and A.Yakovlev, born in 2000, were detained in Saratov, Saratov Region. They committed an act of terrorism on the instructions of Ukrainian special services – arson of the relay cabinet of the Volga Railway.
On March 12, 2024, the Investigative Department of the Volga Linear Directorate of the Interior Ministry on Transport opened criminal case No. 12401008111000066 under Article 205, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On March 19, 2024, Russian citizen I.Pletenyova, born in 2000, was detained in the city of Kirov, Kirov Region. She committed a terrorist act on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services – arson of the Kirov Region Government building.
On March 20, 2024, the Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region opened criminal case No. 12407330001000007 under Article 205, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
▪️ On March 22, 2024, Tajik citizens S.Rachabalizoda, born in 1994, Sh.Fariduni, born in 1998, D.Mirzoyev, born in 1991, and M.Faizov, born in 2004, committed a terrorist act in the urban district of Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region: an armed attack on civilians in the building of the Crocus City Hall concert hall and set it on fire. As a result, 133 civilians were killed, including 3 minors. 285 were wounded. The terrorists also caused property damage. The building of the concert hall was burnt out. The suspects were detained on March 23, 2024, in Navlinsky District, Bryansk Region.
On March 22, 2024, The Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened criminal case No. 12402007703000467 under Article 105, Part 2, and Article 205, Part 2, of the Criminal Code of Russia.
