Sparks' campaign website stated the following:

Our taxes are too high, gas is outrageously expensive, and a liberal socialist agenda is hurting the economy. A failure of leadership in Washington, D.C. has hurt Orange County residents and we definitely deserve better.

Californians pay the highest income, sales, and gas taxes. I pledge to vote against every tax increase, work to lower the tax burden on all Californians, and oppose any attempts to increase the federal gas tax.

A rampant socialist agenda and over-regulations are hurting California businesses. I’ll promote free market principles that grow jobs in California and spur the economy.

A strong and secure border makes our country safer. Cities should not work against our nation’s security and shield illegal immigrants. We need to invest in our border and end the practice of sanctuary cities.

Our veterans are a national treasure and deserve the highest quality of care we can give. I’ll fight to restore accountability at the VA to ensure veterans are getting the necessary healthcare they need and deserve in a timely manner.

Public safety is the most fundamental responsibility of government and I’ll make sure our law enforcement officials have the necessary resources to be tough on crime. I’ll also continue to fight the early release of convicted felons that endanger our families and communities.

Establish a Strong National Security

Promote peace and prosperity through a strong military and national defense. For America to continue to lead globally, we need to invest in our military and protect our nation from those who attack our ideals. From cyber-attacks to foreign affairs, America needs a defense system built for this century.

Americans deserve quality, affordable, and accessible health care that covers those with pre-existing conditions and gives Americans access to affordable prescription drugs that they need. Medicare-for-All or the government takeover of healthcare is not the answer when trying to fix our broken system.

As a mother, I had three children go through the Orange County public school system, and I saw first-hand how broken our education system is. Our classrooms are too full, the curricula is often not innovative with a one size fits all approach that is failing, and our teachers lack the necessary resources our students need to succeed. I’ll fight to ensure Orange County families have school choice, improve the quality of our education, modernize our schools and provide innovative 21st century classrooms, and hold our administrators accountable for student performance.
