The very current question in the last decades after the Perestroika among the Muslim countries of Central Asia which once belonged to the Soviet Block is: On account of which ambition the religious and political ideologists partially produce socio-political clash and in other periods seems to live in a quite acceptable coexistence? The response must to observe both the matter of the rivalling ideologists together with the socio-political interests of their followers. In this study, whose empirical part has been predominantly based upon my research on Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan within , the attempt is to demonstrate how both ideological and material facts justify that Muslims of Central Asia, while obviously identify themselves with their religious-ethnic backgrounds are going gradually but constantly to be energetic limbs of Communist parties which are not only non-religious groups but also harsh atheists. The very interesting point within this case study is that this trend does obviously not occur between the Christian minorities living in aforementioned areas. The Christian minorities along with declining Jewish individuals who still remain in these regions abandon their religious believes officially as soon as they identify themselves with non-religious parties particularly with the Communist ones. In the case of Muslims seems the belonging to an atheistic community or a political party with Communistic ambitions has nothing to do with their religious fates. In this case the majority of Muslims have been apparently successful in order to combine and coverage their religion with the Socialist or Communist ideologies! The book is a collection of works by the outstanding Russian orientalist and archaeologist, Aleksandr M. Belenitskii — , and consists of two parts: scientifi c papers and essays. The first part includes papers having to do with considerable problems of the history and culture of the ancient and medieval peoples of Central Asia and Iran, the second one — essays on socially significant themes never published before. The book is intended both for professional researchers orientalists, historians, archeologists, art historians, culturologists, sociologists and for a wide range of those readers who are interested in the history and culture of the ancient and medieval Middle East.
