I love the finish in the skin. I love the product. Just think it's pricy.

Love this BB cream. Finding it on Amazon at this price point was a nice plus. Happy happy.

The older I get the less I want a heavy, thick makeup on my face. The Guerlain Lingerie De Peau line provides this look. This is my first time to buy the BB Beauty Booster, and I am very satisfied. I simply apply a sensitive skin toner and moisturizer before applying the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau BB. I follow it by lightly brushing with a translucent loose powder, and I'm ready to go. This foundation evens out the skin tone and provides SPF sunblock. I recommend to anyone looking for a light, sheer foundation.

Home » Face » BB Cream » A new BB Cream on the block from Guerlain that fells all others in one Beauty Booster swoop!
July 29, 2013 Paris B 53 Comments
After railing away at BB Creams recently , my next encounter with a BB Cream was to buy one LOL! To be fair it was not called a BB Cream as such, and I was very intrigued. You see, my favourite BB Cream to date is the Diorsnow BB Creme . As a light foundation, it does everything it says on the box and more. I love it to itty bitty bits. My next favourite brand is Guerlain so naturally, when I saw the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau BB Beauty Booster I just had to give it a go. I wanted to see if I’d love it as much as I love the Diorsnow BB Creme.
Let us just say that Dior has just been dethroned by this one, whether or not it is called a BB Cream. I put them both right at the top of the BB heap and I love this!
I originally did not even realise that Guerlain had come out with their version of a BB Cream quite aptly named Beauty Booster. It was while making a purchase at the Guerlain counter that the SA casually asked if I had seen it to which my answer was “Erm… no? Guerlain has a BB Cream?” There are 2 shades available – Light and Medium. I didn’t jump right in at first. I had to know if Light would suit my skin and when I saw it did, off to the cashier I went. Thankfully, this is one of the last big purchaes I’ve made. On a diet now
Seriously though, if you are in the market for a light foundation, without all the weight of a traditional liquid foundation, yet want to even out skin and just, in the words of Guerlain, give your skin that beauty boost, you will love this. L.O.V.E!
The Guerlain BB Beauty Booster comes in a long 40g tube that is quite large. The dispenser is a pump that works very effectively and I find that due to the texture, I only need half a pump to cover my skin.
There is SPF30/PA+++ which is less than what Diorsnow BB Cream offers but still better than none. Then again, isn’t that the core of a BB Cream? That is also has sun protection qualities? Like the Diorsnow BB Cream, this Guerlain one contains Oxybenzone as well. A little bit of controversy over whether it is safe or not, with opinions being fairly divided.
The texture of the cream is a little thick. Definitely thicker than the Lingerie de Peau liquid foundation  and coverage is also higher. In fact, I’d advise you to not use too much because it can look far too thick on skin, which makes the texture of this product come quite close to that of a traditional BB Cream.
I usually pump about half a pump on the back of my hand and use a brush with that flawless foundation technique I told you about before. I find that using a brush sheers and spreads the product out more evenly in a thin layer because you really only need a thin layer on your skin. The product is opaque enough to take care of the rest.
You can use fingers too, which I do occasionally. I do find the coverage is thicker using fingers, but the spreadability (is there even such a word?!) is wonderful. A little stripe on your cheek enables you to cover the whole cheek very effectively and it covers up redness and blemishes to give you picture perfect skin.
Here’s a before and after picture to show you what I mean.
On left is bare skin after applying my skincare and sunscreen. On right is after a thin layer of the Guerlain BB Beauty Booster and you can see just how much evened out my skin is. The redness on the undereye area and around the nose are pretty much concealed, The freckles on my cheeks are semi-concealed (I usually just dot on some concealer and it’s pretty much perfect!) and my skintone takes on a very natural, smooth appearance. If I’m wearing this to work (and I do) then I apply a dusting of Meteorites all over just to finish off the look and it does make my skin look much better. Natural but better. In fact, I had this on when I had my NHK interview and it surprised me just how well it turned out on TV considering I’d crossed the 7 hour mark by then. It does stay on very well without turning oily, looking heavy or drying out my skin.
Here is a swatch of the BB Beauty Booster Light in comparison to other BB Creams I have in rotation
(1) Bobbi Brown BB Cream Extra Light (2) Guerlain BB Beauty Booster Light (3) Diorsnow BB Creme 010 (2013 version) (4) Clinique CC Cream Natural Fair (5) Nars Tinted Moisturiser Finland (6) Kiehl’s BB Cream Fair
The Guerlain BB Beauty Booster has significantly more pink tones, which is something I notice in most Guerlain bases, so it suits my skintone well. However, if you have a yellow undertone then this may not be right for you because you can risk looking ashy. In which case, the Diorsnow BB Creme might suit you better because the Diorsnow version has more yellow tones. You may be able to see that the texture is quite creamy and opaque. This was spread out from a tiny little dot. By comparison, the texture of the Bobbi Brown BB Cream is lighter as is the Kiehl’s BB Cream, both of which have a sheerer texture.
Of the 6 products featured here, I’d place the Guerlain BB Beauty Booster, Diorsnow BB Creme and Nars Tinted Moisturiser in the same category of opacity and creaminess. The Clinique CC Cream comes next and the Kiehl’s and Bobbi Brown have the lightest texture. Much will depend on what you prefer and your skintone.
So what don’t I like about this? Well, 2 things. Firstly the scent. As with all things Guerlain, fragrance sits high on their list so this product has a strong fragrance. And it lasts. So I will have to warn you about that. If you are sensitive to fragrance in your base products, chances are you won’t like this one. Secondly, it takes a while to set and can be a bit tacky to the touch. This is why I apply a light layer of Meteorites over. It helps it set on my skin while infusing it with a lovely glow. On days when I want better coverage and longevity, I go over with a thin layer of RMK Pressed Powder N which makes any base impervious to sliding off and leaves a smooth, velvety touch to the skin.
I love this one, I even forgave it the fragrance, and I love just how much better my skin looks with it on. Like it just had a beauty boost!
The Guerlain Lingerie de Peau BB Beauty Booster Invisible Skin-Fusion Multi-perfecting Makeup SPF30 PA+++ is Guerlain’s offering for a BB Cream except they don’t call it that. The product comes in a 40g tube with a pump dispenser. The texture is creamy and it is quite opaque so I recommend using only a thin layer on skin. The product does have a pink tone which may not suit everyone. What it does for me is even out my skintone, cover up redness and some blemishes and just give me very impressive looking skin. It isn’t drying nor does it turn oily, and it stays on me all day which is seriously amazing in our hot and humid weather. Downsides are the strong fragrance and the fact that it takes a while to set so it can feel tacky. Nothing that a light dusting of Meteorites or loose powder won’t help. In a nutshell,  absolutely freaking love this!
Pros:  Only very little is needed for even toned and smooth looking skin, Medium coverage allows you to wear this alone for an almost flawless complexion, Longlasting, Not drying, Does not turn oily on me
Cons: Pricey, Pink base may not suit everyone, Strong fragrance, Can feel tacky on skin for a while
Who will like this: Anyone with a pink base skintone who wants a lightweight foundation with medium coverage
Here is the ingredient list for those interested.
Here’s one more thing I like about this Guerlain BB Beauty Booster. If you look at the full name, it is called a makeup. So while the BB bit can and will make people think this is yet another BB Cream, they don’t make any bones about it being one. It is, to them, makeup and that is what I have been saying about BB Creams all this while. It is makeup, folks. Don’t pretend otherwise!
I am actually. For some reason, few brands make bases with pink tones and I need bases with pink tones. I don’t care what people say about Asians using yellow toned foundations or bases. When I do, I look awful. While I have a neutral skintone, it does lend itself better to wearing a pink base so I’m very happy with Guerlain for coming out with this one for all the pink toned ladies out there!
Guerlain BB Beauty Booster comes in 2 shades – Light and Medium Price: RM165/40g Availability: Guerlain counters at Isetan KLCC, The Gardens, Parkson Pavilion KL, Parkson KLCC

I’ve never actually seen this! Though I’m extremely curious now. The fragrance bit is a worry but it does look lovely on you! For now, I think I’ll stick to my NARS TM, Sunday Riley Primer and Chantecaille
I haven’t seen many reviews/news on this BB cream which is puzzling! I thought people would go all gaga over it Nars TM is seriously one of the best I’ve ever used. Must remember to review it!
I am so happy for you! I do see lots of bases you talk about, having too much yellow, and so not as suitable as desired.
I think I may just try the Dior someday! I have still working on Chanel CC cream.
Yep, sadly thanks to the philosophy that everyone needs a yellow base, so many foundations have a yellow tone. True for the most part, but not very forgiving on us neutral/pink toned girls so I’m glad Guerlain took the step in that direction! I think the Dior would work on you, but I’m not sure about the shade. I think it only comes in 010 and 020 so you could be an 020 but I’m not sure how that translates into UD 4.0. It was a pity about the Chanel CC Cream. Far too dark for me
Oooh this looks nice. Definitely want to check it out when I’m back (although the part where you said it’s still a bit tacky after application is a concern for me). Gee, like I need even more BB creams, eh?
We need more makeup like we need a hole in our heads But definitely check it out and be sure to test it for a while. See if you can find Irene at Isetan KLCC. She’s a little blur but friendly and helpful. In fact, tell me when you want to go shopping and we can make a day of it haha!
Geek and I have a week for shopping so YES PLEASE!
Ahhh you make this sound SO magnificent but pinky tones? Boo…not for me, sadly :*(
It’s because it is, Becca! So sorry you can’t take pink tones but look on the bright side – you have a whole world of foundation to choose from!
Finally a review on this! hehehe…
I actually saw this laying on the counter, and I was more intrigued with its packaging than its thick texture, that is why I didnt give this a shot. Instead, I bought the BB cream (Les Beiges lightest colour) from Chanel after having good experience with its cc cream, and much to my amazement, it was very thin! When I applied it, it went smoothly and made me look flawless! I took it to my recent trip to Bali and use it everyday cos I received compliments on my skin everyday!!! Seriously, I do not even have good skin to start with. I never like its foundations, though. Anyway, I think I should give this a try now cos Guerlain’s foundie never fails me… *cross fingers*
I’ve been hearing a lot about this Les Beiges from Chanel but I didn’t know it was a BB Cream! I haven’t had much luck with Chanel bases so I’d probably pass on it but it’s good to know that it works so well for you Isn’t it great to get compliments on our skin and for us to secretly know it’s thanks to makeup? HAHA! This one’s permanent I believe so no rush!
I had no idea Guerlain had a BB cream, and like I said earlier, you really don’t need any base makeup! But Guerlain sure knows how to make a classy looking BB cream! love the packaging. Have you tried the Clarins BB cream? I’ve been really impressed by it, I think it’s one of my favorites so far.
Thanks Renee and you know, I didn’t know about Guerlain’s BB Cream either! LOL Everything Guerlain does seems to just take on a luxurious look and feel doesn’t it? Definitely a brand that know what they stand for I have tried the Clarins BB Cream but it was too dark for me so it’s not something I’d comfortably wear. The texture is nice though so it would be nice if it came in a lighter shade. Glad it works for you!
Coming soon in the near future Rosie! I have it in my list somewhere haha!
I love bb creams but it is hard to find a good one. The problems I’ve encountered are the color tone being too yellow/ochre based and irritates my skin (the kiehl’s bb cream) or the texture being too dry or too oily. I’m a pale white girl with pink undertones so finding makeup here in Japan is sometimes hard. Even the big international brands might only carry the colors that suit the larger local population. The only ones that I’ve found that work for me are Clinique’s bb cream and Missha’s M Signature Real Complete bb cream. Recently I’ve really been liking Missha’s skin care especially their SK2 FTE dupe and the Estee Lauder ANR dupe. The Clinique and Missha bb creams stay put although Clinique’s feels a bit tight on my skin. They also don’t give the problem of emphasizing pores by sliding into them and looking like white dots all over my skin.
Yep, your complaints about BB Cream tones are very common. They don’t suit everyone and I personally prefer using a proper foundation anyway! It’s good to know you’ve managed to find some BB Creams that you can wear. I have been trying the tinted version of the Clinique CC Cream and it isn’t bad, much to my surprise
Thanks for sharing this! I love to view the swatch^^ And the tube design looks like Etude House CC Cream!
You’re welcome Jocy! I haven’t seen the Etude House one but this packaging is similar to the Etude House BB Cream I tried many years ago. That packaging really sucked for me though because I couldn’t seem to get anything out if I didn’t squeeze the tube LOL! But I think they’ve improved on it now
Yup! NEED IT NOW!! I need pinky tones too and most BB Creams are yellow and it’s just so obvious on me! Thanks Paris!! Will be my next purchase!
Hahaha Yes I think you’d love this one Tracy! Lots of time to get it since it’s permanent! (I think)
I still can’t decide whether I should be happy or sad that it has pink tone in it. Was pretty much set on getting it, until I saw the comparison swatches. I’m really golden, so the color might not be the best one for me. Sad…
Haha Aww… you answered yourself I don’t know what the Medium tone looks like to be honest. I wonder if that one has yellow tones (I didn’t check or if I did it was such a long time ago I’ve forgotten )
It’s currently on 30% off on our local Guerlain counters. I didn’t pick it up because my Husband was watching me. LOL. I tested it on the counter, it is quite thick consistent w/other BB creams, and the downside is it only has 2 shades. Medium suits me but I will have to use a bronzer w/this. I will be coming back to purchase before the sale ends.
Yikes! 30% off Guerlain?! Lucky you!!! The texture is quite thick, I agree so be sure to only use a little because you don’t need a thick layer or it can look too masky
In fact I’m bummed with the fact that many bb creams are for light skin tones so I can’t use them, this sounds quite interesting but I must be in this medium dark (and that doesn’t exist ¬¬ ).
However now I know the reason you looked good in TV
That is the other problem we have Efrain! Not many companies do darker toned BB Creams I am told that Bobbi Brown has expanded their BB Cream range to include a very dark shade so do take a look at that if you have the chance? I don’t know how dark it is because I haven’t seen it in person but it’s nice to know they’re expanding their colour range Oh and thank you again, and thanks to Guerlain BB eh?
I’ve looked it and my shade is medium to dark (it existed before the expansion of the range), but it’s quite pricey so I have to skip it, for that price I’d rather buy one foundation from the brand.
And yes I really like how you skin looks with Guerlain’s BB.
You’re actually right. If the BB shade doesn’t fit, there are always foundations!
I had my problems with this bb cream at first but after finding ‘the perfect’ technique how to apply this one it looks quite good on. I can’t say that I am thrilled or overly amazed but I like it. The lightest shade sets nicely on my (now) NC15 skintone but I have to mix it when I get lighter. I like the finish on you a lot actually. And I agree, it is very thick but with the right technique it will look good I think xxx
Hey Claire, I’m glad you managed to find a shade that works for you! I remember you saying you had very very pale skin It’ll be interesting to know how you apply this? I use my fingers or a brush interchangeably. I love the finish too. Amazingly better than some of the better foundations I have!
Hey Paris, I’m glad to hear you like this one! Unfortunately I’m between the two shades so I can’t really wear it. If they ever come up with a shade between these two, I’d love to give it a proper go
Oh dear, that’s a pity, Sunny! Hopefully they come up with an in-between shade soon so you can wear this! Hope you’re having a fab time in Taiwan
Definitely boost your beauty Looks great on you, love how it evens out your skin tone and give a natural finishing.
Thank you luv I love this one too! Even forgave it the strong fragrance haha!
WHYYYYYYYYYY alcohol, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Hahahahahahaha!! Diorsnow dethroned… awww… poor Dior… They have to work hard to come up with a better formula/colour so it can rise to the top of Paris’ list of BB Creams then…
As for the meteorites, I find that they do nothing to control the oil… perhaps I have extra abnormally oily T-zone or something? After a mere 2 hours I can fry an egg on each cheeks.
Haha yeah, they gotta work harder, yo! No, Meteorites don’t control oil at all. Adds a lovely glow and all but for oil control, I go to RMK Pressed Powder. Bestest ever!
Yay I am also using this. Glad you like it
Oh another fan! It performs so well, it now replaces foundation!
Was quite happy and set to get the Dior BB cream after the sampling kit as I thought it looked good on me. Haha. Now you’ve me thinking about this new gem. Major decisions in life eh to get the shade right.
You’re right you know. The Dior has a slightly more yellow tone while the Guerlain has a slightly pink tone. Here’s my suggestion. Head to the counters at Isetan KLCC. They are so near each other, you can sample them both at the same time and see which works better
