Limiteur de mouvement iRobot pour Roomba

Le développement original d'iRobot est un limiteur de mouvement (Virtual Walls), qui utilise un rayon infrarouge pour créer une frontière invisible que le robot aspirateur ne peut pas franchir. Cette limite invisible permet de délimiter la zone de nettoyage du robot aspirateur, mais aussi d'éviter qu'il ne s'approche trop des fils électriques, informatiques, ou des objets fragiles au sol. Le limiteur de mouvement crée un cercle de protection autour de lui, empêchant le robot de s'en approcher trop près. L'appareil est alimenté par 2 piles de type C.
