“My boobs were coming off. I’m English, it’s too hot!”
Anyone else watch Pam & Tommy yet? Because Lily James looks so identical to Pamela Anderson that I’m not not convinced they aren’t the same person. On top of going method for the role (she talked in Pam’s voice 24/7, even on the phone with her family), Lily had to undergo a physical transformation that included wigs and—yep—prosthetic breasts.
“I was in the makeup chair at 3:30 a.m., and there would be this four-hour process to get me into the Pamela look,” she told Entertainment Weekly . “Eyes, wig, teeth, there was just a whole process.”
“We explored tons of different prosthetics like nose, chin, eyebrows, forehead, but in the end, we stripped it back as much as possible,” she added. “We didn’t want there to be too much of a barrier between me and my expressions. I think they did a really great job. I was really pretty shocked by what they were able to do.”
Obviously, one of those prosthetics that remained was Pam’s breasts.
“The breast piece was amazing,” Lily said. “You would never, never know it wasn’t me. It was shocking. In the end, because it took so long to put on, I didn’t wear it as much as I wanted to. We sort of cheated with my own boobs and figured out outfits and stuff to camouflage or hide and faked the illusion they’re bigger.”
She also noted, “It would be boiling hot—I got really sweaty and my boobs were coming off. I’m English, it’s too hot!”

The English rose, 32, who found fame on period drama Downton Abbey, has told pals she’s been enjoying getting into character “on and off set” in LA with the costume breasts.
A pal of the actress, who boasts a natural B size cup, told the Sun on Sunday: “Lily’s having a blast getting into character and playing dress up with the fake chest piece.
"The boobs really help her get into character and she loves walking around in them, especially as naturally she has a more modest bust.”
It comes as Lily, whose BBC1 costume drama The Pursuit of Love with married ex flame Dominic West, 51, is on telly tomorrow, has found happiness with new American beau Queens of the Stone Age rocker Michael Shuman, 35.
Lily has revealed that her breast size fluctuates depending on her exercise regime.
Speaking in 2016 she told fashion mag Vogue : “I go through phases of exercise, and I do begin to feel bad if I’m not moving my body and stretching. My boobs get really big when I don’t exercise.”
Ironically, it was Lily’s tiny waist that caused controversy in 2015 when she starred in Disney’s Cinderella when she sported a corset to enhance her hour-glass figure.
The £65million movie fairytale was accused of using digital tricks to make her waist appear smaller and was criticised for it could have a harmful effect on her impressionable young fans.
But she dismissed the concerns as “irrelevant”, insisting kids who watched the film were more interested in the morals that Cinderella lived by.
