There's an RV in the parking lot of the school that resembles the one seen in the "Breaking Bad" TV series. The license plate even reads "BRKBD". Other license plates include "PRKSNRC" (Parks and Rec), "TWNPKS" (Twin Peaks), "THSPRNS" (The Sopranos), "TWLGHTZN" (Twilight Zone) and "THXFLS" (The X-Files).
Maxine uses a Polaroid camera in the game. After taking a picture, she shakes the photo. Polaroid states that this can damage the photo.
Dark Room (Episode 4) credits end with "Thanks for Crying".
The game itself isn't brilliant. There isn't an awful lot to do where game play is concerned. But obviously this is what Square Enix intended. The camera can be a little awkward at times which could of been easily fixed with the option to view the game in first person. "Hang on.. You rated this game 10!?" Yes I did, And here's why.... If there's an area where Square Enix shine it's their ability to tell an incredible story. And hot diggity dayum do they tell this story! Along with it's amazing soundtrack, the story is sensational. I think I've gone through every possible human emotion going through this masterpiece. I wish I was good enough with words to describe just how much I LOVED going through this game.

The fragility and fear of growing up. The terror of leaping into the unknown. Life is Strange tackles tough issues in a remarkable way, merging the superpowered and surreal with characters that feel authentic. You’re drawn into the adventure through gorgeous visuals. Sharp writing, excellent voice acting, and a compelling story make solving Life is Strange’s mysteries feel essential.
I really liked this game in the beginning. The music, atmosphere, characters, and mysteries are very compelling. I liked the camera games. Max’s powers are fun in every way, and so I didn’t like the message in the last episode that the cost of using her powers had to lead to death or destruction. Shame, fear and depression dominated the ending, leaving a bad aftertaste. The game was addictive and exciting and I was very caught up in it, but it went from a charming story about friendships and growing up to a dark place where I hated to see the story go. I don’t think the many choices I made changed major things in the plot- just minor ones. I was disappointed in the end. I’m middle-aged, and so it was a treat to get to play an 18 year old. It brought up some good memories from that time of my life. At first it was strange, and then it became fun and nostalgic. I will give this review 4 because it was a highly creative, original, and captivating experience, but in some ways, it deserves a 3. There needed to be at least one way to avoid the dark outcomes for it to have been a 4. I want to add that for people who have experienced sexual abuse, hiding in the dark from someone with a flashlight is a difficult thing to endure just to get through to the ending. I think the game needs a trigger warning of some kind. I read several reviews where PTSD was triggered.
Love this game. Played before the storm, too. This ones better. Played great my first time through. I’m having a problem playing it the 2nd time through... making different choices and having the story play a bit different. The game way playing great until the 2nd to last chapter in episode 4 of the dark room. I’ve now restarted the game about 6 or 7 times. Every time I click on leave the party, Mr. Jefferson is announcing the winner and right before he does the game completely shuts down. It didn’t do it the first time I played the game through.. but it is now. Because I made new choices.. I want to see the new ending. And because I’m not playing in collector mode.. I can’t skip through to the next chapter. It’s only a short chapter that is mostly narrative, but if I go to episode 5.. the bonus.. it’ll take me to how I finished the game the first time. I offloaded the app. And it’s reloading again now. It’s my last hope for the game to fix. I wish there was a way to get a response through my email or on the App Store about how this could be fixed.
