Sometimes, with continued use, this will get better.  The good thing is, it's not impossible to reach orgasm, it just may take a little more work and creativity, which could be fun!  :0)

Yes it can & it affects mens sexual drive aswell. It one of the more common side effects of using ssris.

As with many antidepressant drugs, Lexapro can cause a man to experience a reduction in his sex drive.
While Lexapro works to fight anxiety or depression, it also causes unintended problems in some men, such as impotence. This adverse reaction to taking Lexapro is usually a temporary problem, ending after the man adjusts to the drug.
The medication called Lexapro also can cause the person to experience a sudden drop in blood pressure when getting up from a sitting or standing position. The condition, known by the medical term postural hypotension, can make the man feel as though he may faint or that the room spins around him.

Physicians may prescribe the generically named drug escitalopram in the treatment of GAD or generalized anxiety disorder, or to help people with mental depression, MayoClinic.com reports 1 3 . Like some other newer antidepressant medications, escitalopram--sold in the United States as Lexapro--is classified as an SSRI or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor 3 . This means the medication works to make the neurotransmitter serotonin more effective inside the person’s brain, which helps to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms.
If you are experiencing serious medical symptoms, seek emergency treatment immediately.
As with many antidepressant drugs, Lexapro can cause a man to experience a reduction in his sex drive. The medication works in the brain to alleviate depression, but it can have adverse sexual side effects. One of the most common complaints about taking antidepressants in general centers around their effects on people’s sex lives. Lexapro causes this lowered libido only during the first stages of use in most men, MayoClinic.com indicates. The normal desire for sexual intercourse should return as the man becomes accustomed to having Lexapro in his body.
Lexapro may cause a man to find it difficult to ejaculate during sexual relations. This may mean an inability to have an orgasm or a delay in ejaculating. In either case, the side effect classifies as non-serious and typically ceases to cause problems after the man’s adjustment to Lexapro.
While Lexapro works to fight anxiety or depression, it also causes unintended problems in some men, such as impotence. Impotence means the man may not be able to achieve an erection even with sexual stimulation, or he may achieve an erection but then lose it during sexual activities. This may cause a decrease in the man’s ability to perform sexually. This adverse reaction to taking Lexapro is usually a temporary problem, ending after the man adjusts to the drug. If it does not end on its own, however, MayoClinic.com recommends consulting a physician for help.
The medication called Lexapro also can cause the person to experience a sudden drop in blood pressure when getting up from a sitting or standing position. The condition, known by the medical term postural hypotension, can make the man feel as though he may faint or that the room spins around him. He may feel light-headed, and the dizziness that occurs can cause him to fall down and potentially injure himself. Postural hypotension, too, is a non-serious side effect of the medication that should end on its own.

Anyone else experience this. Maybe 15/20% of normal pleasure.
Strange mine feel as if I'd edged for hours and finally exploded. Waves of euphoria for me
Lucky I wouldn't mind that side effect lol
I’m jealous lol. Since I was put on it a while ago I have ZERO sex drive. It’s so fucking frustrating.
I can't get there. It's sooooo frustrating. I'm also taking Wellbutrin. Still nada.
So as someone that thought about sex A LOT- I can say I don’t think as much but definitely hasn’t effected me getting turned on-
It also takes a bit longer for me to reach climax now (male)- but when I do it’s kind of opposite for me? I feel like- stronger climax
orgasms feel the same for me on lexapro, the only thing is that it just takes a lot longer to climax now
Yes! I’m only on day 8 and I’m experiencing this. And it takes like 15-20 minutes to get there when normally I can get er done in 3. So frustrating
Hi all! I took Lexapro for 5 years and just got back on it.
Just wanted to say that I had these exact same issue in the beginning BUT they did get better over the next couple months. Only thing that stuck is it did make me last longer.
Yeah I’m on 10 for a few weeks and it’s been harder recently but I’ve noticed if I use different toys and stimulate myself differently / edge myself more then I have a better time. Old trick, but when you’re about to orgasm, but an ice cube on your sensitive parts and then pull away, wait a few seconds and get yourself to the edge again, repeat. This increases ur orgasms lol. Aside from cold ice on your bits hahaha
Orgasms take 10x as long for me and they’re either disappointing or over the top amazing. I produce a lot more cum too after starting on lexapro. TMI maybe but ¯_( ˘͡ ˘̯)_/¯
I took Lexapro for 3 years and after about the first year I felt this way. Didn’t want to orgasm, couldn’t orgasm. As soon as I got off it my sex drive came back. It’s very common for SSRIs though.
So pretty much everyone on Lexapro has these side effects?
I’m having the same problem, and it’s taking me forever to get there! I’m almost 4 weeks in.
Yep new to lex and experienced this as well... after the 3rd time it was more normal than not. So it gets better...
I’ve been taking lexapro for about a month and a half and have not experienced any change in libido or ability to orgasm. I think this might have something to do with my ashwagandha supplement I’ve been taking since even before lexapro which can have beneficial effects on sexual health. Maybe give it a try!
I been on Lex for about 3 months and had to cut way back on my Adderall, but mixing those two (with caution because Lex and Adderall can cause Adderall to be much more powerful than your used to, but everyone's different) Anyways... I take my Lex first thing in the morning and wait at least 2-4hrs before any Adderall and this combination for me has only seriously increased my libido! So much so that sometimes it's annoying! Lol. Unexplained Erections are so odd lol, but like others have stated, it can take longer and besides having my "hormone monster" constantly hanging around me and telling me to remedy the situation, my orgasms have been the same or MUCH better! Especially if I tell my Hormone Monster to get lost for a day or two! (2 days is really hard for me to do though and I personally think it's because of this combo of meds)
I feel like my sex drive increased on Lexapro. It does take longer to get to climax but I'm still just as horny and it feels just as good
I've been on it for 5 years, I attributed my lack of sex drive to turning 40 a couple years ago. But, maybe it was the lexapro. Can't be sure
