Great to find them here for a much better price, but Levi’s are always worth whatever you pay.
I got the 28” waist and they fit perfectly.
I got these for my engagement pictures and I honestly have been wearing them all the time and they are great.

I liked that these were the closest I've found yet to the original, thick, sturdy cotton denim jeans we all loved in the 70s. Very happy with the quality of this denim. Wish I could find the straight leg Levis I loved back then that were more of a mid-rise with a zipper fly but a little more tapered from the knee down than they were then. Some tapering is great when wearing them tucked into boots. 👍 These jeans I received definitely do need to be broken in, worn, sat in, stretched in and lived in for awhile to become comfortable and conform to fit in the way I like. I'm on day two of wearing them and they are finally beginning to get there, loosening up some at the knees and beginning to feel less stiff. Love that the pockets are deeper and larger for practical use - like the old days. All that being said, I sure hope I don't have to go through this sort of break in period every time after a washing. And speaking of laundering, these jeans are tapered tooooo extremely as a skinny jean fit from the knees down to be comfortable with only a 1% stretch to the fabric. I'm not a big person, nor do I have large knees, wide calves or thick ankles, but they fit me very tightly in the lower half of the legs. Maybe they will relax a bit more over time. I ordered a size 27, am 5'2", 117 lbs. Due to the above issue, I do not think I will be throwing these jeans into the dryer for fear of them shrinking and becoming even tighter from the knees down.
The Jive Tides look very different in person. Darker and more blue. On camera they look close to the ones advertised but when you're just looking at them they do not look the same. I ordered up a size and it was the right call because these are old-school jeans with no give. They are actually very comfy though! I ordered size 27 and I'm 5'3, 117lbs, waist 25 and hips 34. They look a little saggy when I walk around and the waist is pretty loose. I wish Levi's could be customized, I would love to get a pair that fit my proportions properly. Specifically these jeans are 27 × 28 which means if you are short they will hit your ankles funny (see photo with socks covered in dog hair lol). You could always cuff them, though. Overall they are comfy, I don't like the color, but for the price I feel like they are worth it.

I'll keep these, as I do like the higher waste and the fit overall. I'd like the additional length that the 30" would provide. NOTE: THESE ARE DEFINITELY 28" LONG. For me at 5'4", they skim the mid-ankle. I'd prefer them a smidge longer to wear more comfortably in the winter with booties. These may *just* work for that. Otherwise, they're the highest waisted 501s I've ever owned, clearly covering the navel. If you have some sins you'd like to cover up in the hip department, they definitely do. I also bought the skinny 711s, which I'll keep as well. If you'd like a mid/natural-waist skinny, those are the ticket.

I bought them for the regular inseam of 30" so that is a disappointment, since now i need to return them, and can't trust exchanging the 28" that were sent to me, for a 30" because apparently the description is totally inaccurate. Otherwise, I would have liked these.

I love the stiffer cotton fit of these jeans. I bought a size down from my normal and I am happy I did, for reference I am 125 lb and 5'4", went for a 26 instead of my normal 27 in jeans. I cut the bottoms for a more cropped fit...glad this frayed edge is in for us that are a little shorter. They hold up after a few wears and tighten up nicely in the wash. Great jean for the price!!!

I’m 144 Lbs, 5’ 3”, purchased waist 31”, fit just like a size 12... 12’s are a little big on me & that’s exactly how they fit. This fit/ style has a short inseam of ~28” which I did not expect but forgot to ck Levi’s website 1st, but ok as I’m short; they’re just past my ankles...I already knew Levi’s womens jeans run large nowadays (when going by waist) from a recent purchase & ordered accordingly and also took into consideration the fabric... these are 99% cotton & 1% elastin. FYI, 1% adds more stretch than one might think but much less compared to almost all other Levi’s womens jeans. I like a heavier (cotton denim) fabric; I worked for Levi’s ‘92 - 2002, and knew 501’s would probably be heaviest/ most cotton, best bet. I prefer as they hold in my abdomen & hips which the stretchy jeans do not. 100% cotton 501’s available for $30+ more. TAKE NOTE COLOR/FINISH “TANGO TALKS”, NO HEM ON PANT LEG! Didn’t know that either but ok with it. Sorry if I confused anyone!

Not premium quality
I own the same model from aritzia in the color called "jive ship" and they look and feel really fabulous. I purchased these in the color "jive tide" from amazon, they were the same price but have a cardboard patch rather than leather and look cheaply made. I feel like these are the quality you would get at the outlet store so you shouldn't pay 120$ for them. Will be returning them.

Great classic jean, fits a slightly curvy figure
Love these jeans. They're slim but have some room in the butt/thigh area for the those of us with "womanly" figures. I'm a size 2 (26) but quite curvy in the lower body and found these perfect. Lie tailor made for me! I am 5'4 and found the 28 inseam just right. Love the higher waist but not quite the mom jeans height that all the teens are wearing these days (ironically I'm a mom lol). I only wish they weren't the skinny version because I like to be able to get jeans off my ankles easily. But other than that this is the perfect Jean. Also the denim is thick and not stretchy. These are classic jeans not jeggings.

I was hopeful for these but they didn't fit very well and noticed a couple things. Another review mentioned that the leather tag on the back felt like cardboard. I second this, it didn't feel like real leather, that's for sure. Also, the inseam is definitely 28, not 30 as advertised. I returned both pairs that I ordered and found a pair in store that felt much better on. Feeling the real deal in comparison to these really sealed the deal for me. I rarely write bad reviews, but here we are.
