💫There is no standard or fixed rule in Airdrop, So anybody can call airdrop anything also any project can give any criteria for Airdrop.
💫 I think, Airdrop is a marketing strategy to distribute token to Community.
🟢There are many kind of airdrop, you can see on space.
➡️Mainly, Retroactive, Testnet, Social AIrdrop/Giveaways, Waitlist, NFT drop.
🟢Social Airdrop🟢: ❎Most low potential project launch social airdrop to grow their social media profile. You need to do task on some social media. I think social airdrop hype is gone because most people in airdrop works on social airdrop & people increased more than 2x than last year. Now, social airdrop payment depend on Refer & Luck. So we are not going to waste our time on this. ❎ Of course, if good project come with social airdrop, we will do it.
🟢Retroactive & Testnet🟢: Going to explain these two together because they are same. On these kind of airdrop, we need interact with Dapp & make activity on that platform, If you know about testnet, you will understand easily, we use test token to swap, add liquidity, stake on dapp but on retroactive airdrop, all is in mainnet so token we used to interact with dapp has value, so we need to invest or buy token.
🟢Testnet: There is two kind of testnet, incentive & potential. In incentive testnet reward is confirmed if you do make activity on their demand. Potential is where project indicate about airdrop but there is no official announcement. There is many testnet that don't pay well, so we will be only doing good project testnet.
🟢Retroactive: 🟩Retroactive is king of airdrop. You need to work hard here, invest money but if you got any retrodrop of good project then profit will be huge. There are many kind of retroactive airdrop but no project confirm its retro airdrop before snapshot So that less people and only real people can get paid. Many project confirm before snapshot then their airdrop become shit. We need to join early and do activity regularly. Not all retroactive needed invest, there is so many project came also will come where you can get retrodrop by just using their platform🟩
