Let's be together" agreement to extend the right of connection

The Futures (second division) of the Kiwoom Heroes in the professional baseball league will continue its relationship with the Goyang Special City. The Heroes announced on Monday that they held an agreement ceremony with the Goyang Special City to extend the Futures Team ties.

The signing ceremony was held at Goyang City Hall. The ceremony was attended by Heroes CEO Wi Jae-min, Goyang Mayor Lee Dong-hwan and Kim Hye-sung (infielders) from Goyang Little Baseball Team on behalf of the team.

The Heroes Futures team was based in Gangjin and Hwaseong, and in November 2018, it signed an agreement with Goyang Special City to launch Goyang Heroes.

Since the 2019 season, the Goyang National Baseball Training Center has been used as the home stadium for the Futures Team.

Based on the trust they have built over the past five years, the club and Goyang Special City have signed an agreement to extend the right of connection for another five years until 2028.

Accordingly, they agreed to continue joint marketing and social contribution activities for the development of sports culture in Goyang, including the operation of the Futures League.

CEO Wi said, "I am happy to continue our partnership with Goyang Special City," adding, "Goyang Heroes is a place that plays an important role in fostering the team's future resources. I will try to cultivate many good players with the interest and support from the city."

He also added, "The club will also do its best to make Goyang Heroes a team loved by 1.07 million Goyang citizens."
