Lesson 4.0 - Operation scorched Earth

Lesson 4.0 - Operation scorched Earth

King Leonidas
Artist - Dekades8

What is happening to this world?

Almost everyone of us is living mediocre lives devoid of reason or purpose,

Feeling like a hollow shell of himself.

Living in fantasy lands in our heads

As we desperately fail to do what needs to be done in real life.

So many of us are anxious, depressed or unfulfilled.

Living lives of quiet misery hoping for a thread of an escape to latch on to.

This isn't normal.

Life is beautiful. Living is the greatest gift.

You don't need to feel this way.

You don't have to live like this.

This is not a rant to fuel your feelings of inadequacy.

This is a reminder.

What I pray for is that this message serves as a wake up call to all my brothers and sisters across this time and age.
Artist - Peter Lee

You aren't going to be around for too long.

What's 80 years?

A mere speck in the grand span of this ancient cosmos.

How many of these years have you gambled away on addiction, uselessness, lethargy, procrastination and waste?

You could probably count on one hand the productive days you've lived and learned from.

You are a sinner.

You are guilty of one sin.

Which is the mother of all sins.

Inattention.

You don't pay attention to the only thing you have,

Your life.

Artist - John Silva
You are paying for it very dearly and the cost is hiding from you in plain sight.

You dont even notice -

I DO, I SEE IT ALL

I see you all.

Living like zombies.

Mechanical robots.

Living like a zombie is for the dead. You aren't. You have vitality and energy.

Make use of it.

Stop being ignorant.

Why are you ignorant?

Because you are expecting new things to happen doing the same things everyday.

How do you expect this to work?

You MUST wake up to reality and see things for what they are.

Your life is a bundle of suffering.

You feel no joy.

You are suffering because there is friction between who you are and who you want to be.

This upsets you, makes you lose hope.

Let me tell you something,

Do not let this dishearten you.

All great things are born from brief periods of intense discomfort.

There is tremendous beauty in this process.

Artist - Darantha

It is the law of the universe.

Anything worth having is never free or easy.

Struggle is the battle cry for champions.

This is our daily grind,

We embrace it with pride.

How did we get here?

Humanity has never backed down from a fight.

We've fought tyrants and plagues

Endured wrath from the gods.

Now we are weak and pitiful

Because we are overfed, drowning in comfort.

Blinded by lust, greed and power.

Corruption of the soul overpowering humanity.

You are far too engrossed in how many likes you have on Instagram to notice that it's all fake.

The news is diluted, what you think is dictated.

The only real thing you have is being lost in this fog of deception.

Unplug and get in tune with what really matters.

Your life.

Your life, your families, your legacy, your impact - why do these come second to mere masturbatory pleasure hits from social media and Netflix?

Too much comfort is taking away your potential.

Eating at it everyday.

You don't realise you are losing everything to gain nothing.
Artist - Daniel Valaisis

Get to work my friend.

There is no tomorrow. Start now.

Make a plan, write it down, go after it like your life depends on it.

Because this is what reality demands from you.

Going with the flow is for dead fish. You dont belong with them.

You are the terrible storm that will conquer everything.

All you need is a spark to fuel your flame.

I am that spark. I am your reckoning.

All you need to do is answer my call.

How will you become a conqueror?

Operation scorched earth.

You burn it all down.

Let it go up in flames.

What am I talking about? - Your mindset.

The way you've been operating your life just doesn't work.

You must have realised this by now.

How you live is not how you should live.

If you want to be exceptional -

Burn it down, delete it, start with a clean slate.

Artist - Campbell White
This day onward, your mindset will be one that nurtures your growth. One that feeds your potential and expands your horizons.

Sounds amazing, how do I do this?

You seek for excellence in everything you do.

Your craft is not as important as your competence with your craft.

You become exceptional with a mindset of constant and continuous improvement.

The Japanese call this 'Kaizen'

It is the principle of continuous improvement that inevitably leads to mastery and exceptional skill.

Use this, embrace this mindset.

Apply it to everything you do.

Anything you do today,

You must improve 1% while you repeat it tomorrow.

This includes your study, your work, your workouts, your health, your relationships, how you handle loss, how you defeat addiction - EVERYTHING.

Constantly look to get better at all of it.

Practice this for a month,

You will start to get better at it.

In 3 months you will be good.

In 6 months you will be better than 75% of people who attempt it.

In 5 years you will be unstoppable.

That is what I want for you.

I want you to be an unstoppable force, an Oak that stands tall and proud unshaken by the storm.
Artist - Justin Gerard

I am giving you a few principles that I use.

This will help to think with a growth mindset.

Use this when you feel friction in your life.

They will sort out many of your problems by giving you new perspectives.

  • Always think about how it can be done, never about reasons why it cannot work.
  • Never make excuses, take responsibility for failure and immediately get to work trying to learn from it and improve.
  • Immediate action is always better than delay waiting for perfection.
  • Start quick, improve as you go.
  • Never run away from any situation that makes you uncomfortable. This is your battlefield, this is your war. There is no running away.
  • Face any and all adversity with courage and faith that you will survive this. You may be beaten and bruised, but you will survive with a fantastic story to tell.
  • You have infinite potential, pick a task and strive to get better at it - more doors will open up as you go through this process.
  • Always question things - How can I improve on this and make it better?
  • Embrace change, change is good. Change runs the world.
  • Resistance makes you stronger. All problems are training grounds to level up in life.
  • Knowledge from one is good, but wisdom from ten is better.

There is no assignment with this lesson,

But there is a thinking framework to adopt.

Many of you may have heard of journaling before.

We are going to do something similar,

A thinking exercise best practised before bed - for introspection.

Before you go to bed, simply reflect on your day and ask the following questions,
  • What difficult tasks did I do today?
  • Did I give it my 100% ?
  • How can I get better at it tomorrow?
That's all. 3 questions for each task.

Over time this should have compounding effects that will blow your mind.

Thank you for following along the course.
