The ladies got to pick who they wanted to be coupled with in tonight's show and the new girl admitted she had to go with her heart
There was another drama filled recoupling on tonight's Love Island as Katie and Sophie became the first ever same-sex couple on the show.
It was the ladies' turn tonight to pick their official partners and after their constant flirting it came as no surprise that new girl Katie admitted she only had eyes for Geordie beauty Sophie.
With Adam, Troy and Adam J standing in front of her the glamour model admitted she wanted to go with her heart: "I want to be true to who I am and true to how I feel."
After a long pause she added: "So the person I would like to couple up with is...Sophie"
A smitten looking Sophie looked pretty happy with the outcome and immediately got to her feet to hug Katie and land a smacker on her lips before they sat down together.
Sparks flew between the couple as soon as Katie entered the villa, just a day after Sophie's Welsh boyfriend Tom left.
Despite vowing to wait for him, the beauty soon turned her attention to Katie - to the delight of the male Islanders.
Watching closely back at home was Sophie's we're guessing now ex-boyfriend - Tom who admitted to being a little dumbfounded by the revelations.
He wrote: "Crazy episode.. Don't really know what to think"
Though appeared to hint he wasn't happy by following it up by re-tweeting: "these h*** ain't loyal"
Sophie had been wearing his t-shirt in the villa since he left and he fumed that now she's with Katie: "She best not be wearing my f****** t-shirt tomorrow"
Their decision meant that after Tina picked Adam, Troy and Adam J were left without a partner.
In a twist it was revealed they would both go on a date with a new female islander - before she chose who stayed in the villa.
The Sophie/Katie coupling wasn't even the biggest moment on tonight's episode of the ITV2 show after Malin made a shock return to confront Terry over his behaviour since she was booted out the villa just a week ago.
After being lured away from the villa on the premise of a "man date" with Scott, the enraged brunette surprised her now ex at a bar and asked EXACTLY what was happening.
Despite vowing to leave the villa with his ex before changing him mind, Terry was soon dating her replacement Emma.
As a shocked Scott spits his drink out, he exclaims: “Oh my god! S***!”
Malin asks Scott: “Do you mind giving me and Terry a minute?”
Left alone together, Terry sits stunned and speechless as Malin tells him: “I’ve been watching everything.”
Terry replies: “Yeah, but I said it was a test for me didn’t I? I didn’t say to you I was 100% going to be with you.”
Objecting, Malin tells him: “Terry, we were together in that villa. I left that villa as a couple with you; we were official in there. You were my boyfriend. I came out of there supporting you. I know you didn’t come out, but I thought ‘I’m going to support him, he’s having a good experience with the lads’. Then a day later you’re hooked up. You were wanting to come out of there with me!?”
Terry replies: “I know I was, but then I had to reflect on things. I spoke to the boys and at the end of the day; it was still my time in there. I can’t just walk like everyone else. Analysing stuff on the two days I was on my own, it weren’t gonna go anywhere. You know what you was like, you was creating rows.”
As Malin becomes increasingly agitated, she says: “You said you were going to dump me a few days before? You said ‘I was gonna dump her anyway’. No you were not. You led me on the whole time we were in there; you were playing a massive game Terry. Everyone can see it. Your little girl Emma’s playing a game too. You’re muggy as f***. I can see everything.”
Deflated, Terry simply replies: “Alright, alright.”
Malin then asks: “Is that all you’ve got to say?” To which Terry says: “No, I tried with you but your possessiveness… everyone can see it Malin, the rows you’ve created.”
Malin concludes: “I did not create any rows. You and your cheese toastie? Your t-shirt argument? Ridiculous. You cheated on me in there. You’ve cheated on me and made me look like a mug and disrespected me completely.”
