Hello, First I want to say THANK YOU for the amazing 21-day meditation challenge, it has been amazing. I’m a young woman of Christian faith and lately I have developed feelings for other young women. I just want to know do lesbians go to heaven?? Please help me I am so confused! Is it right for me to be attracted to girls or must I fight this emotion? Please help. Thank you!
There is nothing wrong with noticing that you have sexual feelings for another woman. And simply having same-sex attraction does not imply that you are a lesbian. Maybe that will change, maybe it won’t. For some people, sexual awareness can be a deep journey of self-understanding. Try not to struggle or worry about identifying yourself according to your sexuality. There is no need to give yourself a label that you then feel obligated to try to fit your feelings inside of it. Instead continue to focus on your spiritual growth and on becoming a loving and compassionate person. However your sexual growth takes shape, if you are a kind person, then I’m sure that whomever you love, you will not be kept out of heaven.

I took two stairs at a time and walked into the kitchen to be greeted by mum, dad, Cheryl and the family dog.

Unfortunately, you don’t get issued with the handbook by The Lesbian Collective (you didn’t seriously think that TLC stood for “Tender Loving Care”, did you??) until after you become one, so you only know you’ve made them afterwards.

As an atheist personally, I didn’t read this section in any great depth, but the text seemed to be mostly saying that provided the Lesbian Initiate can keep herself grounded and temperate in her actions, she should be OK. Judging from the lack of footnotes, lesbianism isn’t mentioned much in many religious texts.
It seems the main risk of abandoning heaven is actually carried by those people of certain faiths who reject all that stuff in the books about being excellent to each other, treating others as they would wish to be treated, loving their brother, and so on, and choose instead to perpetuate hatred, victimising lesbians and homosexual men with threats of dire punishments in the afterlife, and even in some cases try to force them to convert to straighthood.
