Lesbian Dates
Yes, Keep Me Posted on Speed Dating Events!
Imagine downloading a lesbian dating app (LaidEvents Lesbian Dating App). Only, instead of swiping, scrolling and messaging, you have a list of LIVE events that are available either in person (Covid-willing) or online.
Then, on the day of the event you’ve registered to attend, you will be joined by 25-50 other women-loving-women, along with me, your event host. The event will start with all participants in the Social Lobby. At live events, this is the gathering area where you can mix and mingle with all event attendees (and depending on the venue, you can probably also grab an adult beverage of your choice). For virtual events, the Social Lobby is the main gathering room where you will begin the online speed dating experience.
Once you’re logged into your app (LAID Events Lesbian Dating App), you will see “My Dates.” This will reveal your list of 6-minute blind dates for the event.
You will have up to 10 dates. Your dates are automatically assigned based on your answers to questions about who you are and what you like.
For 6 minutes, you will spend time getting to know each date either at a specified table at live events, or in a private zoom room online. Six minutes goes fast (even in the most awkward of situations). After each date you will provide your follow-up preferences in the app. (No Interest ❌, Friendship Interest 👍🏼, or Romantic Interest ❤️)
Your date will timeout in 6 minutes. The lesbian dating app will guide you from one date to the next, and you will also have a couple of breaks which provide you a chance to socialize with other lesbian dating participants throughout the event. At the end of the event, you will return to the Social Lobby for a formal goodbye and a reminder of how to view your matches from the event.
You will be provided contact information for all matches. This rejection-proof dating will communicate your interests at the lowest common rating only. So, if you indicate interest in romance, and she indicates interest in friendship, you will be matched as friends. (She will not be informed that you expressed interest in romance unless she also expressed interest in romance). If you indicate interest in friendship and she indicates no interest, then nothing is communicated. If you both indicate interest in romance, then you will be matched for romance.
Social Rooms provide an opportunity to meet women you may not be paired with for a 1:1 date. You may also be in a social room with someone you were on a date with. That’s what makes random so fun – you never know who will be there!
Relationships are my thing. Some would say, my obsession. While I only scored an 83.75% on my own “How Lesbian Are You” test , don’t let that fool you. Since returning to school in the ’90s for my MSW, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: help lesbians grow outrageously joyful and satisfying love lives.
I am that person who has built her life around one thing: lesbian relationships and women loving women. For fun, I do things like create online quizzes at asklesbians.com , to learn more about real lesbians. Or I write books. like, “Just Ask: 1,000 Questions to Grow Your Relationship,” to give couples an easy way to communicate. (www.1000question.app)
And, now that our boys are young men, my love, and my wife, Kristen, and I are helping lesbians grow outrageously joyful and satisfying love lives through Lesb ian Couples Retreats, and lesbian speed dating events throughout the U.S. in awesome destinations.

The right queer dating site for women is out there, you just need to know where to look.
We all know that dating isn't easy. For adults who don't have the ease of walking by your crush in the school cafeteria or passing notes to that cutie behind you in class, there are basically got four options for finding love: Head to your favorite watering hole and keep your eyes open for a gal or nonbinary person who might be interested. Ask some friends with good taste (or a carefully curated checklist) to set you up with one of their friends and hope you hit it off, then pray it doesn't make things weird if it doesn't work out. Join a club, take a class or get involved with an LGBTQ+ advocacy or volunteer group to boost your chances of meeting like-minded folks. And if all else fails, pick up your phone and start swiping. In this day and age, most of us live a fair portion of our lives through our screens, so it just makes sense that many queer and LGBTQ+ singles are swiping through dating apps to find a new partner in crime. If you're considering trying your luck there too, you're in good company.
A recent study conducted by Match.com found that 56% of LGBTQ+ singles have gone out with someone they met online, with transgender people logging on the most, at 65%. Overall, half of all singles in the U.S. have created a dating profile, according to Singles in America . But for women seeking women and nonbinary partners, it can be hard to find an app that will match you with dates who actually fit the profile you're looking for without having to swipe through a bunch who don't. We rounded up the best lesbian dating apps out there, to improve the chances you'll find love online. The best part? They are all free to download.
A text-based app for queer, trans, gender non-conforming, two spirit and nonbinary people, Lex has a clear zero-tolerance policy for creepy or discriminatory behavior of any kind. It's based on newspaper personals ads (remember those?) so it focuses on the language we use for ourselves and our relationships, rather than placing a heavy emphasis on physical appearance.
#Open is an app for ethically non-monogamous people that's focused on inclusivity, no matter what your relationship status, orientation or identity might be. It's dedicated to providing a space where everyone can share their entire selves, creating a respectful and inclusive space — and it seeks to improve society as a whole through research and education that protects and lifts up vulnerable populations. What's not to love?
Part dating app, part social media platform, Her was created by and for queer women. Because it also features a calendar of events, it's a great place for women, nonbinary, trans and gender-nonconforming people to find love or queer community, even if you're not looking for a one-on-one date yet.
TikTok fans, this is the perfect dating app for you. Fem focuses on videos more than other platforms, and also allows for group chats if you're into that sort of thing. If you're not a video person, never fear. You can stick to still photos. And despite the name, it's not just for femmes.
This queer dating app helps women and nonbinary people find love, hookups or just a fun date, with a similar swipe functionality as dating app O.G. Tinder. And because the staff evaluates registered users for authenticity, you know the person you're matching with isn't just a bot.
Part of a network of more than 30 other dating sites, PinkCupid has a huge community of users worldwide for those who like to cast a wider net. And because it's been in operation since 2006, the site also has a long track record of success, plus a whole bunch of testimonials that will restore your faith in love.
Hinge only matches users with friends-of-friends, so everyone you meet will have someone to vouch for them. Think of it like an app-based friend intro. It calls itself "the dating app designed to be deleted," so if you're looking to enter into a meaningful relationship instead of a one-night stand, this app might be just the thing.
While the woman-messages-first feature Bumble is known for doesn't work as well when both people identify that way, Bumble does have an extra element of urgency for those of us who don't like waiting around. Users have to respond to messages within 24 hours, so if you need help making your move, this app can help.
While it started out as an app for hetero couples, OkCupid has added lots more LGBTQ+-friendly gender identity and sexual orientation options over recent years, making it far more inclusive than other similar apps. And because dating profiles on OkCupid are more extensive than many others, this one can help ensure you've got plenty in common.
While not strictly a lesbian dating app, Bounce's unique structure is worth a look. Users "check in" when they feel like going on a date, and get matched with other local singles in real time. You have one minute to decide whether you're up for it, and then the app chooses a spot for you to meet up. If you're game for a little adventure, roll the dice with this one.
There's a reason why Tinder's name is basically synonymous with online dating. If you want to play the numbers game, Tinder's the place to do it due to the sheer volume of users. You just might have to swipe through a few dudes to get to your lucky lady or enby.

Overall, when it comes to dating apps and sites, experiences in the LGBTQA+ community are generally positive. Well, as positive as online dating can be. The key benefit of lesbian dating sites and apps is that they strive to help people seeking a same-sex partner find a match in a friendly space.
A 2019 report by the Pew Research Center stated that more than 55 percent of LGBTQA+ adults had tried online dating sites at some point. This number was twice as high as the 28 percent of straight adults who have chosen this type of meet and greet.
Examining LGBTQA+ adults who are happily married, the Pew Research Center also found that 28 percent of them had met their partner online. Nearly 37 percent of LGBTQA+ singles were taking to online dating in an effort to find that special someone.
If you haven't tried online dating yet or are looking for a new app to get more matches, here are the top 10 dating sites and apps for lesbians.
These days dating apps are some of the most convenient ways to find a partner. Rather than waste time at bars, nightclubs or going on a dreadful blind date that a friend might have set up with the best intentions, why not get online and skim through a list of people looking for the same thing as you?
Not all LGBTQA+ dating sites are created equal, but the ones below may give you a good chance at finding a match.
A good place to start is Lesbian Personals , from Various Inc.—a company that specializes in dating sites. While the brand also owns NoStringsAttached, this one is built for the LGBTQA+ community. Lesbian Personals is one of the largest LGBTQA+ dating sites just for women interested in other lesbian and bisexual women.
This site claims that it's meant strictly for lesbian singles to chat, meet up and date. While it doesn't have a dedicated app, the website is intuitive and works well on both desktop and mobile.
The sign-up process only takes a few minutes, and you'll be able to communicate with other single lesbians right away. However, many users have a paid Gold Membership, which starts at $28 per month (or less if you buy three months at a time), but will give you the best experience on this site.
In order to browse for a match, you'll need a verified email address. You'll also need to specify your orientation, birth date, location, race, marital status and body type during setup. Some of these categories have multiple options, or you can opt not to disclose some of your information.
The website is available worldwide, and users can search specific regions, including the United States, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Germany and many more. Being available globally also means users can search for connections away from home. Most importantly, anyone from the LGBTQA+ community is welcome, not just bisexuals and lesbians.
Another popular option for lesbian dating is eHarmony . What separates eHarmony from a lot of other sites is its matchmaking algorithm. Users answer a slew of questions on style, dating types and personality, then eHarmony will serve up a list of matches for you to review.
Unlike a lot of other dating services these days, eHarmony claims to have almost no fake profiles and bot accounts, meaning you may have better luck finding quality matches.
The site isn't specifically for LGBTQA+ people, but eHarmony does make LGBTQA+ filters available for those interested.
One of the best parts of eHarmony is also one of the most tedious—the lengthy sign-up process. The initial account creation is simple, but in order to get your best results and let the matchmaking algorithm work, you'll need to answer roughly 70 personal questions to get started. Good things come to those who wait, right?
Lastly, like most dating services, you'll get more features from being a paid subscriber, but there's still plenty of options with a free account.
Try it today and download the iOS or Android app.
PinkCupid is a matchmaking and dating website for lesbian and bi-curious women with more than a million global members. The biggest age range is between 24 to 34, although there are younger members between 18 and 24 years of age. You must be over 18 to join.
There are both pros and cons to LGBTQA+ dating with PinkCupid. The registration process is quick, and you can start finding matches right after registering. The company allows users to sign up with Facebook, but uploading a type of ID is required.
Perhaps our favorite feature is the "Online Now" alert, letting you see if a potential match is online in real time. Do yourself a favor and search by "Online Now" and message a few potential matches today.
Thankfully, PinkCupid also has a mobile app, which is free to download on Android , but unfortunately, it doesn't offer an iOS app for Apple devices. If you want to message and have full conversations with potential matches, you'll need to have a premium membership, which comes in around $25 per month. You can read incoming messages as a free user, but to respond and make a connection, you'll need to get a premium plan.
Her is an exciting dating app for lesbian users only, so you might have better luck here than with traditional dating services.
As for pros and cons, you'll be happy to hear that the base version of this app is free, even if you only get a limited number of features. The app is available on both iOS or Android , easy to use, and beautifully designed. Once you pay the $14.99 per month fee, you'll get access to more communication tools, LGBTQA+ events and news, and other members will see you're a premium member and serious about finding a match.
Her claims to have a strictly monitored sign-up process to filter out fake accounts, which is always encouraging to know. Unfortunately, Her doesn't let you "swipe" through matches without being a premium member.
Uploading an ID is required upon registration for safety purposes. The rating of this app is 4.2 on Apple's App Store and 3.5 on the Google Play Store.
Tinder is an app for anyone and everyone to use, and that includes LGBTQA+ singles. It's one of the more popular options in the United States, but it's not strictly for lesbian dating, so expect a mixed variety of matches. The "swipe" feature of Tinder can be addictive and entertaining while also very convenient to use. You simply swipe left or right to "like'' or "pass" on a match.
The starting price of the premium membership for this app is $19.99 per month. A free version is also available but comes with certain restrictions. Tinder's main features include a wide array of free profiles, although eventually, you might want to become a paid member for added features like video chatting and verified accounts.
Tinder is available for Android and iOS devices, but you can also use it on your desktop.
POF was founded in 2003 and stands for Plenty of Fish. It claims to be one of the world's most popular dating sites, with more than 90 million registered users globally. You can browse freely and find a match based on your criteria, or you can use the "Ultra Match" feature to see your 50 best matches. "Ultra Match" is reserved for paid users.
While POF's interface might not be as user-friendly as Tinder, it's still a great way to meet LGBTQA+ singles. You can receive matches daily and choose your top match once per day.
More men use POF that women, according to Statista , and the age range of users is between 25 and 34. The users are mainly from the U.S. The site recommends mentioning hobbies, favorite games, music, movies or other interests to help spur conversations and find suitable matches.
We like that POF has a messaging system that's fast and easy to use, and it even has integrated personality assessment tools similar to eHarmony's. Get POF today for iOS or Android devices.
With a rating of 9.9 on the Apple App Store, Zoe is a newer dating app mainly for LGBTQA+ singles looking to mingle. The app states that it's a great place to find a serious lesbian relationship.
The registration process should only take around 5 minutes of your time. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the app, and "Login With Facebook" is not an option here. Instead, you'll need to verify an email address to get started.
However, once you do, you can message potential matches with ease, take part in video chats with members in your inbox and more. Zoe offers a lot of customization inside the apps, too, so you can turn the features you want the most on or off.
Most Zoe members are interested in more serious relationships, and the personality questions at the registration process will help identify your best matches in line with your preferences. Messaging anyone at Zoe is entirely free, but video chats and other features are only for paying members.
The price for premium membership is $15.99 for a month, $39.99 for three months, and $119.99 for a yearly subscription. Get it today for iOS or Android devices.
Bumble is all about women and puts the power in their hands. Created by a Tinder co-founder and using the same popular swipe system as Tinder, Bumble lets women make the first move. The gender you use during setup will determine your choices. Obviously, you'll also want to be honest and upfront if you're looking for love.
Additionally, Bumble offers both an opposite-sex matching system and a same-sex "meet friends" tab, giving you more options to find friends, casual hookups or potentially a relationship.
