It's been almost fifteen years since that fateful finale and Dani has fit a lot into that time.
Dani Campbell stole everyone's hearts in 2007 as the frontrunner on A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila , the first bisexual reality dating show. We can't say the show was progressive, exactly, and true, some moments were downright cringeworthy, but it meant something that Dani was there. She was a wholesome, goofy, hot lesbian, and there hadn't been a whole lot of those on reality shows at that point. Tila eliminated her at the final ceremony in favor of Bobby Banhart, a swerve that many found disappointing, hoping instead for the first same-sex couple to end up together on reality dating TV.
It was a heartbreaking end for the relationship, during which Dani had showered Tila with affection, and Tila had given a lap dance to Dani's grandmother...seriously. But that wasn't the end for the self-described "futch," (which, she explains, means she is not quite a femme, but not quite a butch). It's been almost fifteen years since that fateful finale (do you feel a million years old yet?), and Dani has fit a lot into that time. Here's everything she's done since A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.
Raised in Palm Beach, Dani hasn't strayed too far from her family since appearing on Tila Tequila. She frequently posts pics with her mom, whom she came out to when she was just 16 years old, and her sister. They have remained close, and while we aren't aware of Dani dating anyone just yet, a new partner will definitely have to impress her family first.
She was a firefighter when she went on the show, and it was clear how much she loved her job. It's no wonder that she didn't give it up for a life of celebrity appearances and Instagram fame, and it's not just because Instagram didn't exist at the time. Dani deeply identifies with her job as an emergency responder, speaking passionately about it frequently on social media. She's risen in the ranks since those days, and shows no sign of giving up her life's work.
A few seconds of scrolling her Instagram, and you'll realize just how important fitness is to Dani. Many of her posts feature her smiling in a spinning class, or lounging in the gym with a post-workout sheen on her face. She speaks openly about what a release it is for her, not to mention a requirement for her job.
As if being a firefighter and emergency responder weren't enough, Dani is even more decorated than you might think. The Miami Herald declared her "South Florida's Most Eligible Lesbian," and Curve, a lesbian magazine, called her "the first lesbian girl next door." With all that hype, it's surprising that she doesn't seem to have a girlfriend - and trust us, we've been scouring her Instagram for one. We'll keep you posted!
Dani has documented her journey with the piano, from the time she bought a keyboard to stumbling through her first notes, and now - not bad! A recent Instagram video shows her playing in a small cafe with what appear to be strangers singing along. She smiles bashfully while she plays, mumbling through only half-remembered lyrics, but the effect is totally charming. She admits she's nervous to play in front of people, but her nerves take a backseat to how much she genuinely seems to enjoy playing.
Since the show ended, there's been a lot of controversy over just how real certain elements of the show were. Following the show, many thought Tila was behaving erratically and acting desperate for publicity. When she admitted in an interview that she was never gay or bisexual and even had a boyfriend while she was filming the show, Dani was left to wonder how much of their relationship on the show was genuine.
She launched a company called Pink Boy, Blue Girl, which catered to women like her who preferred more androgynous clothing, or men's clothing styles in sizes that fit women. Initially she had planned to call it " Futch Apparel ." The website is now defunct - it's gotta be difficult to fulfill and ship tee shirt orders while you're, you know, saving people's lives.
Dani is outspoken about identifying as a Democrat and endorsed Hillary Clinton in her 2016 bid for the presidency. More recently, she has spoken out in support of Black Lives Matter and vocally supports police reform.
Dani met Scott Disick organically at a party in Miami Beach, and plans sprouted for her to be on the show. In the episode, she takes Scott to brunch with a handful of her lesbian friends and though he appears visibly uncomfortable early on in the scene, the conversation about same-sex marriage and LGBT rights seemed to resonate with him. Dani later reported being impressed with how open he was to hearing ideas and perspectives he hadn't previously encountered.
According to her Instagram, Dani is now entrenched in a new business venture: customized basketballs. She is frequently seen promoting @ballsofalegend and directing fans to the company page to buy custom basketballs. If we order a custom basketball, does that mean Dani has touched it? No reason, just wondering.

Danielle , also known as Dani is a character portrayed by Demi Lovato on Glee .
She is a struggling artist who works at the Spotlight Diner in New York as a singing waitress along with Santana Lopez, Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel. She starts dating Santana Lopez but they eventually break up after Santana reconciled with Brittany.
Dani's first scene - Dani & Santana at the Dinner
Tina in the Sky with Diamonds is Demi's first episode on Glee. They are shown as a waitress at a New York diner called the Spotlight Diner , where Santana ( Naya Rivera ) , Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) work.
Dani's first scene is a talk with Santana about her parents negative view on Dani being a lesbian and her fight with them which lead to her leaving home. Santana tells Dani that her grandmother wasn't okay with Santana's sexualty either, and about her ex-girlfriend. After the talk, Dani starts acting very flirty towards Santana.
In Dani's other scene, Rachel leaves the diner early leaving Santana and Dani alone on purpose. Dani tells Santana that she likes to stay at the diner to watch the sunrise and invites Santana to watch it too. Santana stays with Dani and then they perform Here Comes the Sun , which ends with them at Dani's house where they say goodbye and share a first kiss.
In the last scene, Santana invited Dani into the loft where she, Rachel and Kurt sing Let It Be , Dani does not, but is shown in the performance.
A Katy or A Gaga is Demi's second episode on Glee.
Dani gets excited when Kurt announces that he is starting his own band and she asks if girls are allowed to join. He says yes as he wanted Rachel, Dani and Santana to join as it will save him the agony of having auditions. Dani and Santana agree to join while Rachel declines (later on joins). Santana agrees as long as they get to help with the setlist and have a say in who joins. At the auditions, Dani asks how long do they have to wait here and she playes the guitar when the only person who signed up, Starchild, performs Marry the Night by Lady Gaga.
In the next scene, Dani is seen at the loft with Kurt, Santana and Starchild trying to come up with a name for the band. She suggests the name "The Nipslips" but the name was shot down by K
