Ariana DeBose first stepped into the big leagues in 2018 after her Tony nomination. However, she had become a household name a while before that.
With the rise in her popularity, people also wanted to know about her dating life. However, until 2015, she had not even come out.
She never felt like she had to, but she still did.
DeBose has never thought that a label could categorize her, nor did she ever felt like she needed to claim a label. "I myself don’t really believe in labels — I claim the term "human" and I like what I like when I like it," she confessed to Them in 2018.
But, it was in 2015 that the West Side Story actress first realized she had not had a coming out.
"When an outlet approached me in 2015 to talk about who was dating, I realized I hadn’t really had a coming out," she told New Now Next in 2018.

However, before coming out to the world, she wanted to come out to her grandparents.
So, she called them and said that in case they had not realized it yet, she was interested in both genders. " I like what I like, but I do move toward women, so I hope you’re okay with that!" she told them.
With that, she officially came out as a queer woman. And that also means she doesn't identify as a lesbian.
When asked how her coming out affected her career, she said it made little difference. The only difference was that she was asked to go on auditions for lesbian roles a lot more often.
She had a "loving and accepting" experience coming out , and she loved hearing about other people's experiences of the same.
Some were sad, but she was glad everyone was trying to live their truth.
Her revelation also made her careful about what she spoke in public.
"I get messages from young people I’ve helped find the courage to come out or to tell someone they like them. I don’t take that lightly or for granted, so I try to be careful with my words and how I respond," she told the publication.
DeBose had a less-than-ideal prom story. It was at a time when she was questioning her sexuality.
She went to her prom with her white heterosexual best friend, Jonathan. While there, a girl she had a crush on came to her asking for a dance. She obliged after Jonathan urged her to.
But, as they started dancing together, everyone started staring at them negatively. This made her self-conscious and ashamed, and she backed off.
While playing Alyssa in The Prom , she had difficulties playing the prom scene in the movie because of her real-life experiences. But she pulled through and when the movie came out, she hoped it would mean something for everyone questioning themselves.
She said that she wanted the movie to usher in a time when people did not have to come out announcing who they were.
"I wanna live in a world where humans are humans, and you don’t have to make a grand declaration about your sexual preference or gender identity," she said during her interview with Gay Times in 2020.

Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot.

Ariana has addressed speculation that she has come out as bisexual in her 'Monopoly' lyrics...
On Monday (Apr 1), Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét released their surprise new single 'Monopoly' as a gift to their fans. In it, Ariana and Victoria trade lines about their friendship, achievements and life at large. It's a lowkey, celebratory bop and it's already Number 1 on US iTunes. However, it's not just sparking discussion because it slaps. People believe that Ariana has come out as bisexual in the song's lyrics and now Ariana has responded to the assumptions.
In the song, Ariana seems to imply that she is queer. During their verses, both Ariana and Victoria sing the line: "I like women and men" individually. Shortly after the lyrics came out, fans started speculating that Ariana had come out as bisexual in the track. Victoria publicly came out last year by tweeting: "I also like girls" but up until now Ariana had never made any public reference to being attracted to women.
While the reception to the line was overwhelmingly positive, people were quick to point out that Ariana still hadn't put a label on her sexuality; she hadn't come out as bisexual. One Arianator tweeted: "ariana ain’t gotta label herself, but she said what she said" and Ariana replied writing: "i haven’t before and still don’t feel the need to now which is okay". In other words, Ari doesn't label her sexuality.
Amazing. It's important to remember that while some people use labels to define their identities, others prefer not to use any at all. What's key is that we respect how everyone identifies (or doesn't identify) individually. On top of that, it's incredible to have two massively successful women sing openly about being on the LGBTQ+ spectrum in a hit song in 2019.
We have no doubt that Victoria and Ariana will inspire many listeners with this song.

Porn star Adriana Chechik is getting very, very real about the physically (and emotionally) damaging situations that go on all the time on adult film sets.
The performer opened up about her own personal experiences in the industry in a new podcast interview on The Plug Podcast this week, and some of her tales are jaw-dropping, to say the least.
Explaining to the show’s hosts how she suffered long-term injuries to her neck, spine, and brain stem (WTF?!) among other issues, Chechik compared porn unfavorably to pro wrestling for the amount of damage to the body
The 30-year-old adult film celeb and industry star said of her long-standing neck issues:
“I feel like it’s just like sexier wrestling. I have a really f**ked up neck now. I have a pinched nerve and my C6 and C7 [vertebrae in the spine] are out of place.”
Chechik also slipped a disc in her back at one point, revealing how the pain got so bad over time that she would typically sit in an ice bath after shooting her scenes in order to help her body recover. Again, not unlike professional wrestling and pro sports…
She also revealed the presence of another shocking and severe head injury, as well:
“My brain stem actually came out of pocket a little bit.”
Uhhhh WHAT?! Holy s**t… We’ve heard of people f**king their brains out, but we didn’t think it was a real concern!
At one point in her career, things got so bad, a doctor once begged her to take some time to rest her body. Explaining how she saw the doc ahead of her plan to partake in an orgy shoot, the brunette remembered how the physician strongly cautioned her to get out of the industry for a while:
“He was like, ‘can you please just wait one year for this? Can you let your body heal appropriately?’ And I was like, ‘no, I have to do it.’ He was like, ‘please, just treat yourself right!'”
Chechik didn’t divulge whether she actually went ahead with that particular romp or followed the doctor’s request.
Still, the story underlines the difficult balance performers have between working in an often ruthless industry and practicing self-care and good health.
Adriana was brutally honest throughout the interview, saying she has “no plans” to give up porn despite all these injuries.
The good news now, at least, is that she has thousands of paying subscribers on her OnlyFans account, so theoretically it would seem she has the ability to be more discerning with what she shoots and with whom she works. We can only hope she doesn’t suffer any more injuries…
Sound off with your take on these shocking revelations down in the comments (below)!
