A sports journalist has spoken out for the first time since intimate photographs of her were leaked by hackers.
Diletta Leotta, 25, a TV presenter and reporter for Sky Sports in Italy, claims that only a handful of the pictures and videos were authentic.
The reporter, who has more than a million followers on social media, insists the majority of the images were faked, adding: ‘Although many still do not believe it.’
Recalling the moment when she realised that her smartphone had been hacked and pictures she considered private had been shared online, Leotta said: ‘My phone would not stop ringing with calls, messages, WhatsApp.
‘I didn’t cry at first. I found strength I didn’t even know I had. But after three days, yes, I succumbed.
‘Those photos maybe I sent to someone, perhaps a couple of them. I hadn’t seen the pictures for years. I thought I had deleted them. I wouldn’t even describe them as sexy.
‘I became aware that they were part of my private archive. Someone must have intentionally hacked into my iCloud account.’
Leotta urges women and girls who find themselves in a similar position not to feel shame or guilt, but to follow her example.
She added: ‘I want to say to the girls or the boys who have experienced the same thing, that you should not feel guilty.
‘Everyone has the right to do what they want with their life, their privacy and their mobiles.’

The popular presenter said that she had even been accused ‘by less intelligent and sensitive people’ of leaking the photographs herself for the publicity, something which she has vehemently denied.
Leotta insisted: ‘It seems clear that the road I want to take is very different.’
After her pictures were leaked online, Leotta was supported by Italian footballer Mario Balotelli, 26, who said: ‘Everyone is free to do what they want with their body, for better or worse.
‘People who abused this situation are a**holes.’

Italian TV presenter Diletta Leotta shut down boisterous soccer fans without even opening her mouth.
After some supporters of the Napoli football club got a bit rowdy during an outing at Stadio San Paolo, where they allegedly chanted, “Get your t–s out,” Leotta replied by wagging her finger and giving a thumbs down.
A social media sensation, Leotta boasts over 4.5 million followers on Instagram. The broadcaster, who works for DAZN Italia and Radio 105, also studied law at Luiss University in Rome, graduating in 2015.
Leotta’s personal life has also been well-documented, as she was reportedly linked to boxer Daniele Scardina over the summer.
For now, Leotta appears to be enjoying her work on the sidelines.

At first, Diletta was sitting on the boat bench having a phone call, before joining her claimed ex-boyfriend in the back of the yacht were he was tanning.
Following the Capri vacation, Diletta Leotta and Can Yaman have never been seen together again, sparking breakup rumors.
The separation gossips have intensified when Can did not attend Diletta's 30th birthday on August 16, he didn't even post a birthday wish on social media.
Since then, eagle-eyed fans have been closely watching the couple trying to get a sign to understand whether they are still together or not.
It was learned that the last picture they posted together was on July 12, when they watched Italy's victory in UEFA EURO 2020.
Followers of the couple on social media have noticed that Yaman and Leotta have stopped liking each other's pictures on Instagram.
Can and Diletta have not commented on the separation rumors yet.
