Hero's in a half shell! Bought this as a Christmas present for my 6 year old and we had a blast putting it all together. The instructions are all pictures and were a little harder to follow than a few of the other lego kits we purchased, but overall its a great product. The characters are fun. The robot arms and legs have a tendancy to fall off fairly easily- we ended up supergluing the non-moving parts together so that he could raid the city and kidnap april without having to fix the thing 100 times. Great value for the price

I chose this Lego product as an Easter gift to go with my six-year old grandson's other Teenage Mutant Turtle sets. He and I worked on putting it together and it was great quality time that we spent quietly involved. I was impressed that I could do so well at following the directions and assembling each major piece. (My grandson, was much faster, of course and he is just learning how to read!)

Its a lot smaller than I expected, for this price you should get the larger Lego boxes these size boxes are usually in the $35 range. I buy a lot of Lego's so I thought I knew what I was getting. I feel I over paid but my son loves Lego's and Ninja Turtles he was very happy when he opened this at Christmas.

This set is cute but we have a lot of issues of it falling apart at the waist of the robot when playing with it. I'm thinking I may actually try to find a way to glue it in a way so it still moves because it is pretty frustrating.

Gave to my 5 year old grand-nephew for his 6th birthday. Think he really liked it as he picked it out himself.

I want to buy all the teenage mutant monks turtle lego sets. I love Baxter Rickman robot. It has an with a trigger that can shoot out. It was a great birthday present so easy to order on amazon and shipped in two days

How can you go wrong with Lego and Turtles. Of course I would expect more for the money, but my grandkids didn't mind how much I spent on this at all.

Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a Lego theme based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles entertainment franchise first created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird . It ran from 2012 to 2014 and included sets based on both the 2012 animated series [2] [3] [4] [5] from Nickelodeon and the 2014 film [6] by Michael Bay . [7] [8]

The product line focuses on the turtles emerging from their sewer home for the first time. They use their ninjutsu training to fight enemies in present-day New York City . In addition, a life-sized Lego model of Shredder displayed at San Diego Comic-Con , along with Lego sets based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series and feature film. [9] Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aimed to recreate the main characters in Lego form, including Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Donatello. [10]

Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was launched at New York Comic-Con in 2012. As part of the marketing campaign, The Lego Group released the first wave sets based on the 2012 animated series from Nickelodeon. Each set featured different vehicles, lair and combat robot. Minifigures were also released, including Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Donatello. [12] [13] [14] [10]

The 3 sets [48] [49] being released were Turtle Van Takedown (set number: 79115), [48] [49] [50] Big Rig Snow Getaway (set number: 79116) [48] [49] [50] and Turtle Lair Invasion (set number: 79117). The theme was designed primarily for children aged 5 to 14. Later, it was announced that the theme was discontinued and no longer available at the LEGO Store or online shop. However, the theme was eventually cancelled, with Mega Bloks [51] [52] receiving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license for brick-based construction sets.

The 8 web shorts have been released on YouTube inspired by both the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012 TV series) as well as the Lego toyline.
