it was fun to build and had great minifigs

I'm not an Overwatch fan, so I'm not familiar enough with the game to speak to this set's accuracy or appeal to fans in that respect. I picked this set up because of the price--it's a rare "underpriced" set for the piece count (good rule of thumb is ten cents per piece, and this one at Lego's MSRP is ~7 cents per piece), and I managed to snag it not only on sale, but also with an advertised coupon auto-applied in cart, bringing it down to a steal of a deal at ~4 cents per piece!! But even at MSRP or slightly discounted, it's a really good value for the price. As an AFOL (adult fan of Lego), this set was a great buy just for the pieces it adds to my collection. It has some fantastic harder-to-find pieces (like upright 1x1x2 with 2 knobs, 1x1 with 2 knobs on adjacent sides, 1x3 jumper plate with 2 knobs, string with climbing grips, crate, etc) along with a good variety of common useful pieces that are great to bulk up your Lego bin. The build was fun to do once and uses some interesting techniques. The minifigs are a bit specialized, as it's a licensed set, but I'm sure I'll be able to reuse pieces of the McCree minifig at the very least. Whether you're an Overwatch fan or not, this is a good set to add to your collection, and for the price, it's a great deal. Recommend!

I bought this set on a whim. I love LEGO and have a general idea of what Overwatch is but really not enough to be a fan so this review is purely from a Lego fan perspective. The set comes with an interesting number of pieces (1 x 1 side brackets, 3x1 jumper plates). The designs themselves weren't anything cutting edge but still interesting enough to inspire some build ideas. I especially liked the window detail and arch work. The truck was a fun build. I'm assuming that it hovers in the game. To simulate this, there are tiny wheels underneath that are barely visible but enough to add playability. The minifigures were pretty detailed (I think, overwatch fans may disagree). What I enjoy about the set is that you get two main builds (architectural and vehicle) that are small-ish but still pretty detailed. Overall, I wouldn't call this a must have set for the strictly Lego fan but its worth a look. Theres a number of uncommon pieces to work, great colors and some nice (but not mindblowing design concepts)

This set was fun to build and really captures the feel of In-game Dorado as much as a Lego set can. The characters look great, the floating effect of the truck works and the details in the set pieces are terrific. Putting it together is easy for an adult, and probably mildly challenging at most for kids interested in it. My only complaint, and it’s really quite small, is that Reaper and Soldier 76 can’t hold their guns up unless they are standing on a lego board. Mine is mainly for display, so it’s not a big deal, but it might be a little frustrating for kids that play with them. McCree ‘s guns are much smaller, so he doesn’t have that problem. It would have been neat to include the fountain, but that’s just a suggestion, not a complaint. All in all, Victory!

This set looks exactly like it does in game. The figures are all very well detailed and so do the builds themselves. I did have some slight problems putting together the building or bridge part. Some of the pieces can be easily removed and while building it can be difficult to put some parts on without others coming off. I also am a little surprised by how big Soldier: 76's gun is. It is accurate to the game but I do wish it was smaller. The car and fruit stand are really well built and I had no trouble at all putting that section together. Id definitely recommend this set to any Overwatch fan or Lego fan in general.

Definitely a fun set like most other Lego sets. But this has one downfall that I've never run into before, and that is that this set falls apart so easily that it's beyond frustrating. Fun build, nice to have a set based on a game I like, but it did come with a bit of frustration.

I love that Blizzard finally went with Lego after the Mega Blocks debacle from a few years ago. This set is cool, characters are very close to the actual Overwatch hero and the payload is pretty close too. It's a bit expensive for what you pay....and it's quite small. But I love the game, love Lego....win, win for me. I hope they make all the Overwatch maps and heroes. I'll snap them all up.

Package arrived when expected. Packaged great. I love Overwatch so Ive been collecting these Legos. Cant wait to get more.

Love the ambiance of the set - I might just put tires on the truck - lol

^ Bastion was also the first character to be made available in Lego form through official collaboration between Blizzard and The Lego Group . [23] A limited-time event in 2019 allowed players the opportunity to earn a Bastion skin based on the Lego version. [36]

Lego Overwatch is a Lego theme based on the video game of the same name . It is licensed from Blizzard Entertainment . [2] The theme was first introduced in October 2018. [3] [4] Subsequent sets based on the upcoming Overwatch 2 are also scheduled to be released. [5]

The Lego Overwatch product line focuses on playable characters from the 2016 video game . [6] [7] Lego Overwatch aimed to recreate the main characters in Lego form, including D.Va , Genji , Hammond , Hanzo , Jesse McCree, Junkrat, Mercy , Pharah, Reaper, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Shimada Henchmen, Soldier: 76 , Tracer , [8] Widowmaker and Winston . [6] [9] [10]

In addition, The Lego Group built a life-sized model of D.Va who appears in the video game. The model included D.Va with her mech suit MEKA, representing a scene from the video game. D.Va and MEKA contained a total of 145,276 Lego bricks, and weighed 1,256 pounds. [11] They were placed in front of the BlizzCon. [12] In May 2019, they were also placed in front of the MCM Comic Con London . [13] [14]

During the development process of Lego Overwatch theme, Blizzard Vice President of Consumer Products Matt Beecher and Lego Group Designer Woon Tze Chee had discussed the new Lego Overwatch theme. Blizzard Entertainment and The Lego Group worked together to select the Overwatch characters, vehicles and settings that would be turned into the Lego sets. Blizzard Vice President of Consumer Products Matt Beecher explained, “We really spawned a lot of ideas, and we started looking at those through different lenses. The lens of what do we want to deliver for the fan experience? The lens of playability. There’s a lot of research that LEGO team did in trying to understand which play sets come together the best for the audiences. And through collaboration we ultimately got to the six play sets that we announced here.” Lego Group Designer Woon Tze Chee explained, “We’re hitting a different age group than we’re usually targeting, a little bit higher age mark, we spent quite a fair bit of time trying to strike a balance between a set that has play features, versus a cool model that they can just display. With older children, they might not want to play with the model that much, but they find it cool and they might want to build it and display it,”. The product line does, however, include recognisable characters from Overwatch video game. [15] [16]

In 2019, Lego Group Designer Woon Tze Chee discussed how the Lego Overwatch theme was developed and explained, "Some of these sets are inspired by the animation, some of the sets are inspired by the game mode, this has something to do with the composition of the team. Pharmacy combo is a composition of the team that is popular among fans. We definitely tried to keep the conflict in each set so that it is a good play starter for anyone who doesn’t know much about the story, you have a few opposing characters you can make some conflict with." [17]

Lego Group Designer Woon Tze Chee discussed how did the new weapon piece come about and explained, "We made a blaster in general for the whole project so that we can build the different weapons in the game. These are as iconic as the characters themselves. For the blaster, again it is a general element and other projects can use them, but we developed it with this project in mind first. The element designers studied the art style of the weapons in the game: how they would depict the futuristic look of the weapons. They try to create one that is generic across all the weapons that they have, with the intention of making this element that is able to use eventually build all the weapons of the game: the starting point is this element." [18]

Lego Overwatch theme was launched at the American International Toy Fair in 2019. [4] [19] [20] As part of the marketing campaign, The Lego Group released toy
