Legacy Tennis Team Regional Finalists

The Legacy High School tennis team has reached the UIL Regional Tournament finals in the doubles competition for the first time in the programme history, with the junior doubles pair of Sofia Rodriguez and Maya Chen advancing through three rounds of regional competition before finishing second in the final match.

The Regional Run

The Legacy regional tournament run produced specific performances: the first-round win over the district champion pair from Lubbock Coronado; the second-round win in three sets over the pair from Midland Lee; and the semifinal victory that produced the first Legacy regional tennis finalist in programme history. The final match against the pair from Amarillo was competitive through two sets before the Amarillo pair won the third set.

The Programme

The Legacy tennis programme under head coach Marcus Park has developed the competitive foundation that the regional finalist placement documents. The Lamppost will cover the programme through the next season. Go Leopards.
