She is a visiting scientist at GMAO/NASA. She worked as a research scientist at Numerical Modeling Center/KMA(Korean Meteorological Administration), where she worked on developing quality control system of observation and satellite data assimilation technique especially for COMS CSR and AMV until 2013. In 2013-2015 she worked at NMSC(National Meteorological Satellite Center)/KMA, where she worked on developing of cloud-mask algorithm for Geo-Kompsat 2A and improving preprocessing of ground-based GNSS data. In 2015, she returned to the Numerical Modeling Center, where she worked on GNSS satellite data assimilation development and became manager of the satellite data assimilation team in 2018. Since 2018, she led the activity to assimilate satellite data in convective scale model based on Unified Model system and the introduction of data assimilation system of the Korean global NWP system(GDAPS-KIM) developed by the project for 10years as an operational global model of KMA. She has been dedicated to improving the satellite data assimilation system of the new Korean global NWP system and utilize GK-2A data in KMA operational system.
