Celebrity hackers have struck again. Less than a month after the 4chan Apple iCloud nude photo leak , more nude celebrity photos hit Reddit and 4chan during the weekend.
TMZ broke the news on Saturday that Kim Kardashian became the latest victim in a series of hacked celebrity photos. The images were uploaded to Reddit and 4chan; however, the sites quickly removed the content due to “The Fappening” debacle that occurred in late August.
Check out the breakdown of every celebrity affected by the iCloud nude photo leak in the last month:
“Hunger Games” starlet Jennifer Lawrence was involved in the first iCloud hack that was posted by 4chan. The site reportedly posted 60 explicit images of the 24-year-old actress.
“This is a flagrant violation of privacy,” a spokesperson for Lawrence said in a statement to Buzzfeed . “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Lawrence.
Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton was also involved in the late August iCloud leak. Photos of Upton with her boyfriend, Major League Baseball pitcher Justin Verlander, were reportedly released. The 22-year-old’s attorney, Lawrence Shire, released a statement on the matter.
“This is obviously an outrageous violation of our client Kate Upton’s privacy,” Shire said in the statement released to Us magazine . “We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible.”
Former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice took to Twitter following the massive celebrity photo hack. The 21-year-old posted the following message :
“Shortly after I tweeted about pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy. There have always been fake photos of me on the internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake. I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside of me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights.”
Nude photos of “Don’t Trust The B---- In Apartment 23” and “The Blacklist” actress Krysten Ritter were released in the hack. The 32-year-old did not comment on the photos.
Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney initially took to Twitter to call the leaked photos “fake”; however, she changed her tune shortly after. TMZ obtained a letter directed to Porn.com from Maroney’s lawyers, stating that she was under the age of 18 when the photos in question were taken.
Scream queen Mary E. Winstead was one of the many celebrities to take to Twitter after the photos were leaked. The 29-year-old posted the following tweets:
To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves.
Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.
“Glee” actress Becca Tobin tried to make a joke out of her leaked nude photos. The 28-year-old tweeted:
“Bang Bang” singer Ariana Grande denied that the hacked photos were of her. The 21-year-old told one of her Twitter followers that her “petite --- is much cuter than that.”
Actress Kirsten Dunst allegedly had some of the most graphic images leaked. She took to Twitter to “thank” the Apple iCloud.
“I try to have a sense of humor about a really unfortunate situation,” Dunst told E! News about her post. “The FBI is investigating, so they’re handling it right now.”
“Glee” starlet Melissa Benoist reacted to the scandal by posting a “Ted Talk” video that explained why internet users should only give their “clicks” to news sites they trust.
Yvonne Strahovski of “24: Live Another Day” also released a statement denying the nude photos were of her.
“It is with great sadness and disappointment that I address this hacking issue,” she wrote on her Instagram account . “To my fellow actresses whose privacy has been invaded -- my heart goes out to you. I’m so disappointed that there are people in the world who feel the need to comitt (sic) these criminal acts. Some of these pictures are fake, my own included.”
Lea Michele of “Glee” chose to stay quiet on the nude photo release.
“Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting tried to make a joke out of the 4chan leak. The actress posted a photo on Instagram that was blurred out to make it appear as if she and her husband, Ryan Sweeting, were naked on a beach. Recently the 28-year-old appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and opened up about the illegally obtained images.
“Every day there’s like 30, ‘Kaley Cuoco Nude Photos.’ It’s been going on for years. There’s all these fake ones,” the actress admitted. “Then this one came up and I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s another fake one.’ Then I started getting emails like, ‘No, there’s some real ones going around.’ So I looked at it and I was like, ‘Oh, my god. There are some real ones!’”
More than 100 photos of model Ali Michael allegedly were leaked. The 24-year-old did not comment on the images.
Actress Brie Larson did not comment on the hacked nude photos.
Jessica Brown-Findlay of “Downton Abbey” did not comment on an allegedly leaked video of her, but her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Campbell did.
“It was a huge invasion of privacy, I feel really sorry for her,” he told the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
Actress Teresa Palmer chose to stay mum on the subject of the leaked photos. “I have so much to say about the subject,” she told E! News . “I wish I could. It’s actually a federal investigation so I’m not allowed to say anything about it but of course, it’s an interesting situation.”
Kim Kardashian is the latest big name to be added to the leaked nude photos list. The images posted online are rumored to be prior to her wedding to Kanye West because she reportedly is not wearing her wedding ring in the photos.
Olympic soccer player Hope Solo was another new victim in the photos leaked on 4chan and Reddit. She has not released a statement.
“Boston Legal” actress Lake Bell was among the many celebrities involved in the second nude photo hack.
Photos of Canadian singer Avril Lavigne have reportedly hit the Web. She has not commented on the explicit images.
Nude selfies of former Disney star Vanessa Hudgens allegedly were released. She has yet to comment on the hacking.
Leelee Sobieski is one of the latest nude photo hack victims. She has not released a statement.
The actress and fashion designer was another one of the big names involved in the second leak. The 28-year-old has not released a statement.
Photos of “Nashville” star Hayden Panettiere were leaked in the second hacking. The pregnant 25-year-old has not released a statement.
Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwyane Wade released the following statement:
“Our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures. I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide. For anyone else being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes -- we send out love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong.”

What does the hack mean for your own cloud security? Here are all of your nude selfie-related questions answered.
Sharon Profis is Vice President of Content CNET.
A number of celebrities were targeted this week in an attack that exposed nude photos -- some said to be real, others fake -- stored in Apple iCloud accounts. Here's what we know and what it means about your own cloud security.
Celebrities whose iCloud photos were leaked fell victim as a result of targeted attacks, according to the latest reports and information released by Apple. This means the people who hacked into the accounts likely knew the email addresses associated with the celebrity accounts or they were able to answer security questions that granted them access to the accounts.
It's still unclear how the hackers might have known the answers to account security questions and obtained the usernames for the accounts.
It was thought hackers may have gained access to the iCloud accounts through a security hole in the online storage service's "Find My iPhone" feature which allowed them to conduct brute-force attacks. With a brute-force attack, hackers use a script to automatically try many different username and password combinations in rapid succession until the correct combination is guessed.
Apple patched this hole Tuesday morning and confirmed that this was not the method used by the hackers to log in to the celebrities' accounts.
Contrary to popular belief, most celebrities use technology the same way as most other not-famous people. Apple, Google, and other major tech players don't necessarily give celebrities access to special security features. If there were security-bolstering features available, we'd hope these companies would distribute them to all users, not just the privileged.
Celebrities have the same security tools we do, so we're technically all equally vulnerable. But, since their faces grace the covers of magazines and theater screens, they end up being targeted more often.
Celebrities also don't always take advantage of security protocols that are available. For example, based on the information currently available, these celebrities might have been protected against the attacks if they were using two-step verification, which adds an extra step to the basic log-in procedure.
Cloud backup services like Apple's iCloud and Google's Instant Upload are often enabled by default, so it's possible the photos were being uploaded to iCloud without the celebrities being aware.
For example, iCloud's Photo Stream service automatically uploads photos you take on your Apple device and stores them in iCloud for 30 days. With Photo Stream uploading enabled, those photos can be accessed from any device, no matter where you are in the world, using your iCloud credentials.
Even though you're not Brad Pitt or Cameron Diaz, it's a good time to review your own iCloud security. Photos aren't the only items stored in iCloud -- your contacts, iOS device's location, and notes may also be stored there. Here are some steps you can take:
1. Enable two-step verification. Now. The greatest defense against brute-force and targeted attacks is still two-step verification. It won't protect you against issues like security holes, but it's still your best shield against targeted hacking, where someone is able to obtain your username or answers to your personal security questions to access an account.
When enabled, two-factor authentication adds a second level of authentication to an account login. One common example, is a code sent to a mobile device that must be used in addition to a username and password to log in to an account. Follow these steps to set up two-step verification for your Apple ID .
Disappointingly, TechCrunch points out that Apple's two-step login is really only designed to protect users against unauthorized credit cards purchases , but it's still important to enable, especially if the company corrects this oversight.
2. Disable any services you don't actually use If the data doesn't exist in the first place, there's no reason to hack it.
Do you even need Photo Stream or other iCloud services like contact-syncing? If not, disable these services. To do so, go to Settings > iCloud on your iOS device and disable the unnecessary services. Then, sign into iCloud.com and delete any previously-uploaded Photo Streams.
3. Consider using fake answers to security questions Was your mom born in Chicago? That's great, but you should probably use a different answer. Most recent reports suggest hackers used social engineering to learn answers to the celebrities' security questions, which ultimately gave them access to the accounts. To prevent frenemies or hackers from getting into your account, consider using fake, random answers they'd never be able to discover.
4. Do the same thing for other Web services While you're at it, consider repeating the same steps for other cloud services, including Dropbox, auto-backup on Android, or even Flickr. The more you minimize data automatically uploaded into the cloud, the greater control you'll have over your private information.
Editor's Note: Story was updated Wednesday at 3:39 PST to reflect most recent reports on two-step verification and how the hackers accessed the accounts.
The Top Nightmare Fuel From the Hunter Biden iCloud 'Leak'
Source: Screenshots from alleged iCloud 'leak' of Hunter Biden videos
At this point, we've seen Hunter Biden clothed fewer times than we've seen him naked. The explicit escapades of President Joe Biden's crack-addict son are the unsolicited gift that keeps on giving. Last weekend, 4chan users claimed they hacked Hunter's personal iCloud account. (It's worth noting the source of the material has yet to be verified.) Deep within the online catacombs, basement-dwellers on the anonymous, image-based bulletin board purport to have unearthed a trove of debauchery beyond what the human mind can fathom, ranging from amateur smut one might find on PornHub (except it would be called CornPop Hub) to appalling behavior most would consider criminal and certainly not befitting of the middle-aged prodigal First Son.
For some who thrive on schadenfreude, the apparent discovery is trashy entertainment like the next-door neighbors fighting again. For the rest of us civilized pearl-clutchers, it's a whole new level of internet filth that calls for bathing in holy water. Of all the nightmare fuel found, here's the most cursed content that will keep you awake at night, fearing that "Pedo Peter" will visit. Keep your bleach by your side and your rosary in hand.
The viral 4chan "leak" stumbled upon a peculiar contact that Hunter seemed to have saved on his iPad: the Epstein-esque moniker "Pedo Peter." In the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, The National Pulse first reported that Joe went by the email pseudonym "Peter Henderson" in communications with Hunter. The epithet is the name of a fictitious KGB spy who infiltrated the U.S. government in novelist Tom Clancy's popular Jack Ryan series. America's favorite hair-sniffing septuagenarian, who kisses his grandchild like Tom Brady makes out with his son, is a top suspect. After all, he already has earned the perverted nickname "Creepy Uncle Joe."
In Oct 2020 we reported exclusively that Joe Biden used the pseudonym “Peter Henderson”. Now, 4Chan has discovered that his son Hunter had Joe saved in his iPad as “Pedo Peter”… https://t.co/GUp9rl2DAo
However, according to the results of multiple phone lookup services reviewed by Townhall, a reverse search of the listed number with a Delaware area code registers to Hallie Biden, the widow of Hunter's brother Beau whom he had an ill-timed affair with right after the older Biden (Joe's first-born son) died of brain cancer. When Townhall dialed the number, an automated message said: "The number you dialed is not a working number."
Speaking of Hallie, she and Hunter engaged in a full-disclosure conversation in December 2019 over text about his international business partners and how overhanging concerns could reflect on Joe's presidential run.
Hunter confessed to Hallie that he felt "very alone in dealing with rebuilding an income that can support an enormous alimony" while dealing with "the aftermath of the abduction and likely assassination (that's what NYT's suspects) of my business partner the richest man in the world," referring to CEFC chairman Ye Jianming, as well as "the arrest and conviction of my client the chief of intelligence of the people's republic of China by the US government," a reference to Ye's top lieutenant Patrick Ho. (Ye, a Chinese oil tycoon, went missing in 2018 when he was detained by the Chinese government for "suspected economic crimes" and Ho was sentenced to three years of prison time in March 2019 for international bribery and money laundering offenses.)
Alluding to his role representing the chair of the Chinese energy firm, Hunter went on to whine about handling "my suspected involvement in brokering a deal with Vladimir Putin directly for the largest sale of oil gas assets inside Russia to China." (Putin ally Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin attracted foreign investments as relief from U.S. sanctions and Hunter was "acting as the personal attorney" for Ye in a $9 million deal to buy 14% of the Russian state-owned oil giant, according to a text message recalled by whistleblower Tony Bobulinski, an ex-associate of the Biden family who spoke out in a pre-Election Day interview with Fox News star Tucker Carlson.)
Hunter also referenced "a tax bill that Eric left hanging over my business...and Dads running for president."

Biden has denied ever discussing with Hunter his overseas business deals , despite evidence to the contrary. There's a 4chan-sourced voicemail that ex-Biden aide Francis Person, who worked closely with Joe when he was vice president, left for Hunter about business "right there in Tiananmen Square for our Beijing site.”
