Lead Solr Search Engineer

With more than 1,000 enterprise clients, their mission is to enable knowledge professionals to acquire critical business insights and data with speed and conviction. The company's search technology leverages AI and NLP to parse topics, concepts and ideas semantically and uncover the most relevant insights from previously fragmented data sets.
Tasks:
- Focusing on search engine development powering the AlphaSense product
- Act as an amplifying agent for the team
- Make the search faster, more reliable, and highly scalable and build a flexible search engine platform for power features across the product
- Taking part in project planning as well as taking part in the execution of highly technical and interesting challenges
Must-have skills:
- 7+ years of proven experience
- Proven track record in leading complex software projects
- Years of experience with large scale databases and information retrieval
- Solid hands on experience with AlphaSense search stack: Apache Solr and SolrCloud, Apache Lucene, Apache Zookeeper, Elasticsearch
- Strong previous experience with Java
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Advanced English
Nice-to-have skills:
- Any additional experience in search is an advantage
