Lead Software Engineer (Ruby-on-Rails)

Our client is a modern self-funded financial service with over ten years of presence on the market. They believe in Agile but prefer a more integrated approach such as ShapeUp in 4-6 week product cycles.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work with a Rails-based microservices architecture. You’ll design and implement new features, introduce new technologies and libs, take ownership of the code and get things done.
Timezone overlap 4 hours with Ontario.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience with Ruby-on-Rails (expert level)
- Experience with JavaScript (preferably StimulusJS or Javascript ES6)
- Knowledge of MySQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Redis
- Understanding of HTML, HTTP, Tailwind CSS
- Good team player and “Get things done” mentality
- Willingness to mentor other developers
- Good oral and written English is a must
Nice to have:
- Kubernetes
- React
- Any experience with graph databases
