The 2022 Masters Tournament was the 86th edition of this major championship. Scottie Scheffler was the winner, earning his fourth overall PGA Tour win and first major championship victory.

The list of Ryder Cup captains goes back to 1927, when the biennial tournament began. Every other year, the best male, professional golfers from Europe and the United States face off in this match play tournament, each team led by its captain.

Also keep in mind that in almost all the cases below, the golfers are actually semi-nude. Which is to say, while they might not be wearing any clothes in the photos (or are only partially dressed), their, ahem, naughty bits are strategically covered by a draped arm or the camera angle or such.

Sophie Sandolo : Sophie Sandolo was a longtime member of the Ladies European Tour (in fact, as of 2020 she ranked 11th on the LET's career money list) and was also on the Big Break Ka'anapali season of the Golf Channel television show. Sandolo appeared in several years worth of calendars in the early 2000s, a period she was supplementing her golf income with modeling. In those calendar photos, she was sometimes "strategically" nude, other times actually nude.

Top Shots: Women of Professional Golf 2007 Calendar : The idea behind this calendar was noble — raising money to fight breast cancer. The way the Australian golfers (all ALPG members at the time) went about it caused controversy: many of them appeared topless (but strategically covered). Those included Nikki Garrett, Sarah Kemp, Sarah-Jane Smith, Tamara Beckett, Marousa Polias, Crystal Fanning, Carlie Butler and Belinda Kerr.
Happy @espn Body Issue Day! I stepped out of my comfort zone to send a message to look after yourself at any age 💪🏻 pic.twitter.com/pGxCTHhjRV

The Body Issue of ESPN the Magazine debuted in 2009 and appeared annually through 2019. The sports network's print publication pitched it as a way of appreciating the work that goes into being a pro athlete, and also the toll it can take. But let's be real: It was a marketing gimmick intended to rival the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue .

Kudos to ESPN the Magazine , however, for not limiting the athletes pictured to a narrow age group, or body type, or gender. They were very inclusive in selecting the athletes who appeared. In almost all cases, the athletes pictured were fully nude but, again, the "naughty bits" were hidden through various means.

These are the pro golfers who appeared in the ESPN Body Issue by year:

Paige Spiranac : Spiranac appeared in the 2018 Swimsuit Issue in various bikinis and swimsuits. However, she was topless in several of the photos (but with well-placed arms).

Tiger Woods : Woods and his former girlfriend of three years, ski legend Lindsey Vonn, apparently enjoyed texting one another nude photos. And good for them: They're adults. Whatever floats your boat. But Vonn's phone was hacked and photos (and in Vonn's case, videos) were stolen. Tiger is full-frontal in at least one of them. Vonn released a statement addressing the theft. Woods has filed lawsuits against websites displaying his photo.

Paige Spiranac : Spiranac was the victim of revenge porn when an ex-boyfriend showed acquaintances topless photos Spiranac had sent him in 2016. At least one of the photos eventually appeared online.

Transgenders participating in the women’s weightlifting category has always been a matter of debate since 2015. So, it was no surprise when the qualification of a New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard to compete in the Olympic 2021 added fuel to the fire.
But what was going on? Who is Laurel Hubbard? Learn all about her as this article proceeds.
Yes, Laurel Hubbard underwent a gender reassignment surgery in 2012, and four years later, she competed in women’s events for the first time.
Previously, IOC adopted a set of guidelines for transgender female athletes stating that they had to wait for at least two years before competing after undergoing surgery. But the guidelines changed later, enabling the competitors to wait only 12 months after the start of hormonal therapy to demonstrate testosterone levels are within acceptable limits.
After surgery, Laurel Hubbard began transitioning as a woman in 2013. Here’s a comparison picture of her from before and after the transition.
Laurel Hubbard before and after the transition (Source: Daily Mail)
As we can see that there isn’t much of a difference in her facial appearance after the transition. However, she does look a little more feminine. Apart from that, her testosterone levels have dropped by a lot and her body was slowly imitating her soul.
Did you know: After the transition, Laurel was charged with “careless driving causing injury”, just while she was close to Tokyo Olympics 2021. Reportedly, her vehicle fishtailed and hit a vehicle carrying an Australian couple in their 60s. The male drive was hospitalized for 2 weeks and need major spinal surgery on returning to Australia.
Later, Laurel pleaded guilty in Jan 2021, and to pay the couple around $13,000 including $1000 for emotional harm.
Laurel Hubbard was born as a man on February 9, 1978, and previously went by the name Gavin Hubbard.
The son of a prominent Kiwi businessman/ former mayor of Auckland Dick Hubbard, Laurel started weightlifting as a young man. She revealed that she wanted to be “more masculine” by doing so, but sadly that didn’t work.
Although she may have produced many promising results as a weightlifter life as a man was becoming increasingly difficult for her. In 2001, Laurel Hubbard then quit the sport having enough of living as a man.
Finally, 16 years later, she came out as transgender and shocked the world by winning two World Championship silver medals (lifting a total of 606 pounds) in the 90kg class in California.
Critics say, yes, Laurel Hubbard does have an unfair advantage over other female-born athletes. Their reason being — although her testosterone levels may be below that threshold, a male-born athlete would have gone through puberty as “males”, such as increased bone and muscle density.
But Laurel remained unfazed by all the comments made at her. She believes that she has every right to compete against other women, legally and morally. Moreover, she reminded people that didn’t only meet the current IWF requirements for transgender lifters, but also met the 2003 Stockholm Consensus on Sex Reassignment in Sports.
Even New Zealand’s government and the country’s top sporting icons backed her inclusion for the Olympics 2021, held in Tokyo, Japan. According to a statement released by the New Zealand Olympic Committee, she will compete in the women’s 87-kilogram category. This will be her first time at the Olympic Games. In happiness, she said,
“I am grateful and humbled by the kindness and support that has been given to me by so many New Zealanders.”
Anna Vanbellinghen, a Belgian weightlifter/ also a participant in Olympics 2021, shared that if Hubbard were to compete in Tokyo it would be “like a bad joke”. Although she wasn’t making a personal criticism, she felt threatened by the involvement of a person born as a man in the women’s category.
Opposing Laurel’s involvement in Olympics 2021 was also the President of the Samoan Weightlifting Federation Jerry Wallwork. Previously, he was one of the people who opposed having Laurel participate in the 2018 World Championships.
Meanwhile, many US states were considering legislation to prevent transgender women/girls from participating in any women’s categories; and a few have already enacted sports bans in 2021.
Laurel Hubbard was extremely private about her relationships. So, we have no information about her dating life.
In 2021, Laurel was amidst controversy because of her involvement in the Olympics. So, this might also be the reason she kept her partner out of the light. Maybe when everyone becomes more accepting, Laurel might open up more about herself, and reveal to us if she was married or not.
But until then all we can do is wait.
As of 2021, Laurel Hubbard weighed 130 kgs (286 lbs) and stool tall at the height of 6 feet 1 inch (185 cm).
Mentioning her distinct features, she has brown eyes, wider cheeks, and comparatively smaller lips.

Lindsay Hubbard has had one eventful season of Summer House thus far, and as we’re watching the newly single PR maven get her groove back, she hit us with a big reveal. Friday morning, Lindsay took to Instagram to share the news of her recent breast augmentation — and the empowering decision behind it. Lindsay explained she suffered a "loss of appetite and weight loss" after her break-up last year, which greatly affected the appearance of her breasts. Even after regaining her sense of appetite and happiness, the 31-year-old found that her breasts still weren't growing back to their original size naturally, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.
"I am so thankful for being able to experience this journey from the start to now and I am so excited that I’m able to share it with you all, because it’s a journey that I don’t feel any shame about," she shared on Instagram. "It’s an issue that many women face, and it’s a decision that I made for me and me alone."
Lindsay has chosen to be very open about her recent surgery, in hopes to empower other women. "I think it’s important for women to feel comfortable and confident in their skin at all times. I did not do this to feel like I needed to fit into some sort of societal mold, and I certainly didn’t do this for a boyfriend. I think if something makes you happy, then do it for YOU, without fear that someone next to you is judging. Someone will always be judging, but they don’t live your life or walk in your shoes every day, so do what makes you happy," she told The Lookbook .
By sharing her experience and reasoning behind the surgery, Lindsay also hopes to break down some of the stigma and superficial thoughts around breast enhancement. “I think while most people tend to view breast augmentations as a decision that is purely made based on vanity, my reasoning was grounded more in the idea of womanhood and independence," she said. "It was an issue that I knew other women in their 30s could relate to as well, and if I can share my story in a completely unapologetic way, then maybe we can help eliminate the taboo and bad reputation that boob jobs are just for flash and show.”

The fearless New Yorker also gave us a peek at her recovery process. "Honestly, the healing process has been a breeze for me thus far. I spent most of the first day and night sleeping from the anesthesia and pain medicine. Obviously, as with any surgery where you’re disrupting a body part’s natural ability to function, the first couple of days are the worst in regards to pain, but fortunately, I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I’m also a busy-body and it’s hard for me to sit still for too long, especially since I’m gaining my energy back no," she said. Lindsay's also received support from her Summer House pals during the process, getting visits from both Danielle Olivera and Lauren Wirkus at home post-surgery.
