Launcher Installer Stuck

I downloaded MC from the official website. When I attempt to launch Launcher Installer, it opens with the message "Making things incredible" and the progress bar won't move. I've tried closing it and then reopening it. I've also tried deleting it and downloading Minecraft from the official website. I'm trying to download Java edition to see if it helps.

A lot of users haven't been able resolve issues with the new launcher that was released on November 2.

Assuming that you own the game, and aren't connected to GamePass download and install the Windows 7/8 launcher. It's what they refer to as "the launcher" that we have been using for a long time. (Link)

To avoid the upgrade nag, right-click the old launcher shortcut to set compatibility to Windows 8 under the Compatibility tab.

It's an absolute lifesaver! It wouldn't download after I downloaded it. GAMES had the exact issue like the guy who posted this. It worked!

PSScroll down the link and you'll find an the option to download launcher for Windows 7/8 and downloads are available from there. I'm stupid. I kept downloading windows 10/11 over and over again.
