After taking a couple weeks off his diet, new Model America™ Champion Rodrigo Romeh says he's back on his game plan. "Now I'm starting a new method to gain muscle," Rodrigo explains. The 6'1", 195 lbs., Mexican sports models says, "I'm loading carbs one day and then two days on low carbs. I'm combining this with giant sets of excersices for two muscles each day."
Model Latino™ Champion Deiwi has transformed his physique since winning the show last season. The 6'1", 200 lbs., former Venezuelan baseball star says, "After the show last year, I knew I had to change my physique if I was going to be successful at the bigger shows. So, I have been hitting the gym everyday for the past year."
'09 Musclemania® World Champion Genaro Alvarado is back into serious training and says it will be his biggest and best shape ever. "I have been taking care of family matters over the past couple years. But now with things settling down, I have the time and resources to get my physique into show shape again." The 5'4", 165 lbs., will make a special guest appearance at MM Latino in October.
Ivan Estrada and his wife had their concept of a lounge chair at the beach this weekend! The 5'10", 195 lbs., Jalisco, Mexico gym owner is an avid natural bodybuilder who has his whole family training and living the fitness lifestyle. "I've been lifting since I was a kid," Ivan says. "So, its only right that my wife kids should be at it, too." Ivan will soon compete at Musclemania® Latino.
Lifetime natural bodybuilder David Higuera has only competed once, at the '06 Musclemania® World in Hollywood. Now, the 5'8", 187 lbs., 27 year old culinary student says he's once again training for MM World. "I have been boxing for the past 6-7 years," David explains. "But, I am back in the gym and hitting it harder than ever. I have been at it for a year now and want to be about 200 lbs. on stage in Las Vegas. I am eating clean, taking a bunch of supplements and and training everyday. All that boxing has really helped me with my conditioning, so its been more of a lifestyle for me this time than a just disciplined competition training. I [...]
Natural bodybuilder Alex Rendon has never been on stage, but the 5'8", 195 lbs., 20 year old Colombian plans to hit the competition scene this season. "I just went to see my first show last year and everyone kept telling me that should compete," Alex says. Incredibly, he trains in spartan facilities including a gym with a thatched roof made of palm tree leaves. "The place is great for me," Alex explains. "I don't need anything fancy. It's all about heavy duty, hard core training no matter where you lift." Alex says he hopes to be ready for Musclemania® Colombia in July, then MM Latino in Mexico City and, possibly, MM America in the fall.
