Republic Polytechnic Latin Dancesport is a versatile interest group where students are exposed to different latin ballroom dances and styles such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba and Pasodoble.
Under the tutelage of The Dancesport Academy, the interest group has progressed significantly and uplifted their performance standards. Known for their sleek synchronisation and footwork patterns, Latin Dancesport has won several awards. In 2016, the interest group emerged as winners for the Raffles Cup DanceSport Championship and Far East Plaza Dance Challenge. They also came in third placing at the BD Dance World Superstars DanceSport Championship in 2017.
Latin Dancesport is also featured annually at Republic Polytechnic’s annual dance showcases such as Momentum Dance Festival and MUSE Dance Concert.

DC DanceSport Academy is an elite Latin and Ballroom dance studio in Fairfax, VA. We offer adult dance classes and kids dance classes in all styles and at all levels. Our Ballroom dance and Latin dance lessons are taught by world-class instructors , who have trained US & World champions. We hold everything from private lessons and group classes to specialized dance seminars , wedding dance lessons , and Zumbini workouts .

Well organized, great competitors, and an amazing show! Not to mentioned a delicious after party - the bananas foster crepes are worth the trip alone ;-). Truthfully, a competition every dancer should attend!

Capital Dancesport is one of my favorites. The only competition I haven't missed since I started. Marianne and John are such warm and lovely people who make us feel so welcome. It is all around a great competition, well organized, good location, extremely competitive, nice size, good judging panels. Thank you for another wonderful experience and so much fun.
