The most popular symbol nowadays for representing the set of real numbers is the double-struck capital R ( R . ), and you may wonder, how one can write this in LaTeX? The short answer is by using the \mathbb{} command which produces the double-struck capital letters. This command requires loading amssymb package , created by the American Mathematical Society, and basically contains a large set of common mathematical symbols. It also provides certain special fonts, like \mathcal that produce calligraphic letters .
In the following example, we put these two commands into practice:
As a more curious fact, we can also produce a similar double-struck capital R using the basic roman typeface, without having to add extra symbols from external packages. This can be accomplished by changing the typeface inside math mode to roman, and then writing a capital I and a capital R next to each other, deleting the space between them with the command \! .
This means that ${\rm I\!R}$ produces the output I R , which doesn’t look as nice as the one provided by amssymb, but still does the trick.
The other version of the symbol of the real number, the bold one, is produced using the bold mathematical typeface: $\mathbf{R}$ produces the output R .
In practice, if you are writing a mathematical text that contains the symbol several times, you will not want to write it every time. Rather, I suggest you define a shortcut for it using a \newcommand declaration in the preamble. For instance,
will make $\R$ produce the output R . Be aware that with this definition you will have to be inside math mode to produce the symbol; otherwise, you will get an error.
There is a very useful command, called \ensuremath, that ensures you are always inside math mode when using the command, thus interpreting the command as inside math mode when you use it within text mode. This means that a new definition:
\newcommand{\R}{\ensuremath{\mathbb{R}}}
will make \R produce the output R , even if we omit the math mode delimiters $…$.

How to write Latex real part symbol of a complex number? The real number a is called the real part of the complex number a + ib.
Let $a,b\in \mathbb{R}$ and $z=a+ib \in \mathbb{C}$.
Real part and imaginary part are defined like follows:

You can use \operatorname function:

There are many types of latex in the market, the word “latex” can be confusing because it is used to describe both natural and synthetic latex. The most common latex found in mattresses are synthetic latex as it is low cost for mattress makers.

Beware of the differences between natural latex and 100% natural latex, it is common to misunderstand natural latex to be fully natural. Natural latex is commonly a combination blend made of both synthetic and natural, whereas 100% natural latex contains no fake latex chemicals.

Latex is a milky fluid found in the bark of rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis). The rubber tree originates from the rainforests in the Amazon region of South America, and was first discovered by the ancient Olmec, Maya, and Aztec for shelter and apparel. Today, the latex sap from the rubber tree is used in the modern processing of rubber and Southeast Asia’s fitting climate supplies most of the world’s demand for natural latex.
Rubber was introduced by British colonists to Malaysia in the 1870s as Malaysia had the ideal climate and rich soil for rubber plantation. For many years, rubber was Malaysia’s primary exports and by the 1930s, Malaysia produced half of the world’s rubber.
Collected drop by drop, harvesting natural latex takes several years and a complex combination of botany, chemistry, and sophisticated machinery with dexterous skills of rubber tree tappers. This in contrast with synthetic materials which are usually made from automated chemical processing, makes natural latex a truly precious gift from Mother Earth. Latex leggings are a great way to introduce some latex into your wardrobe, whether you’re a first-timer curious about the material, or maybe you’ve tried it already and are looking for the kind of piece which can be accepted as fashion wear.
Wet-look bottoms are in vogue and can be found everywhere, though they’re usually made from materials such as faux leather, PVC or Nylon. The term “latex” is often generalised to refer to all of these shiny materials, but on this page we’re talking exclusively about authentic latex, which is 100% rubber.
You may think of latex rubber leggings as a part of the wider leather/wet-look trend, and by appearances you may be right. But real latex is its own beast. Read on to find out why!
No passing fad : Latex leggings are nothing new, with couture label Atsuko Kudo being a hit with celebrities since the late-2000s. The rise of latex fashion has continued with Saint Laurent’s popular FW20 collection.
Real latex is a 100% natural composition (natural rubber), whereas latex-look is made from plastic compounds. This makes real latex sustainable and vegan friendly, though as a natural product it requires your due care to avoid discolouring from metals or too much direct sunlight. Of course, be aware of any existing latex allergies you may have.
Real latex costs more: As a natural product, latex is more expensive to source and work with. Latex clothing can not be mass-produced, and each garment is made by hand, on-demand, often according to your exact measurements.
Faux-latex is not only inexpensive but can be stitched and backed with fabrics to make it breathable and easy to wear. As for real latex, it’s not suited to intensive activity or hot weather, and the experience of getting dressed is itself unique: The rubber is in direct contact with your skin, so dressing in latex requires talc or lubrication for it to slide over you.
It does make dressing into latex somewhat of an event, but hey — transformations like this don’t come for free! It’s all part of the fun of dressing up.
Real latex is famously elastic, and the seams are usually glued flat as opposed to using bulky stitching. The overall effect is more skin-tight and sleek than any alternative. Since it hugs and follows the contours of the body so perfectly, latex is often described as looking and feeling like a “second skin”. If the idea of clothing as shapewear appeals to you, then latex is second to none.
Finally, real latex can achieve a brilliant mirror-like shine superior to any substitute. But not out of the box: it must first be polished with a dedicated latex shining product, either before wearing or during. It’s all part of the latex dressing ritual — embrace and enjoy it!

Latex leggings are versatile. Depending on what they’re paired with, they can be used for dressing up or down. The resulting look can be anything from casual, club, smart, chic, or rock.
There are mixing looks: contrasting the smooth, reflective rubber with textures that have the opposite effect, like soft furs, or sheer fabrics. There are matching looks: pairing the latex with other shiny materials such as silks, satins or sequins. The skin-tight effect can pair well with figure-hugging tops, or it can contrast something loose, light and flowing.
