Latex Brackets
You can use the bracket key [ , ] on the keyboard to type the bracket symbol in latex. But if you use fractions in the equation, the size of the bracket will not be adjusted automatically. Below are some examples.
If you use fractions or large size equations, the best method would be to write \left[arg\right] command. This will automatically adjust the size of the bracket based on the size of your equation.

Brackets and parenthesis are always needed when representing a complex mathematical expression. There are many types of brackets and each has a different latex syntax to define. Take a look at this table and code below for example.
First of all, you will want to use the curly braces in direct code from the keyboard like square bracket, but as a result, you will not get any output. In both right and left cases, you have to use backslash.
Second, your keyboard does not have any angle brackets. But, looking at your less than and greater than symbols, it will look like an angels bracket which is not exactly correct. For this, there is a special command in latex.
Even after knowing the command in the case of each bracket, you will have a problem with a large expression. Because brackets and large expressions will not adjust dynamically. For this, you need to use \left and \right commands.
At above point, the expression and size of brackets are being dynamically adjustable. But, if you want, you can manually adjust with a large expression. for this, you need to know the use of four types of big commands.
Physics package will return automatically an adjustable bracket. In this case, you do not need to use \left and \right commands separately.
All you have to do is use the brackets or parenthesis with the \qty command.
There are other ways you can solve this problem. In this case, a special command is defined which is equivalent to the previous command.
You can also manually resize each bracket of physics package. However, after \qty command, four types of big commands have to be used.

If the size and shape of the expression are large, the size of the bracket should also be large. And big brackets will be needed in the latex document to represent multiple line expressions.

For Big Brackets, there is no need to write large syntax in a latex document more than once. Instead, you can create small macros.
There are four types of big commands that do not depend on the expression. Size of bracket is not dynamically adjustable with the size of expression.
No matter what environment you use, LaTeX has some rules for using big brackets with multiline equations.
\left and \right will be used simultaneously in each line. So, if there is no \right command at the end of a line and \left command at the beginning, you have to use \right. at the end of the line and \left. at the beginning.
You want to start in the second line from the bottom of any position on the first line. In both cases, you have to mark with & symbol.
I always think it is best practice to use a physics package in case of big brackets. Because you can complete the task by using a single command instead of writing multiple commands.
Physics doesn’t need to be a big command, but it’s good to know.

You can use \{arg\} command to print curly brackets on latex documents. But I would not recommend the use of this command in case of fractions or large equations.
In the above quote, you will see that in the case of fractions the size of the bracket is not being adjusted automatically as the size of the equation. For this, you need to use the \left\{ arg\right\} command by which the size of the bracket will be adjusted automatically.
