Multiple units from the Lee County Sheriff's Office were at the Lani Kai Resort on Fort Myers Beach Tuesday morning.
A body covered with a tarp could be seen in a back area of the resort off Estero Boulevard.
The Sheriff's Office confirmed it was conducting a death investigation Tuesday morning and said the scene was a possible suicide.
