I have taught TOEFL in MOSCOW for more than 11 years. I have learned many tips and techniques about how to earn a high TOEFL score. One of the most difficult parts in every TOELF test is its speaking part. It consists of 6 questions. It is not enough just to speak English well to get the maximum points possible on the test.

Some people think that it is better to learn English with those who do not speak your own language, while others disagree. They consider studying with a russian speaking teacher is the best.
I think that the best way to learn languages is with good teachers who speak both languages. First of all , there are some grammar rules that are better to explain in one's own language. Second , a person should have a particular level of language to understand explanations of a native speaker. Russian speaking teachers know Russian students better that is why it is easier for them to find the right approach for each student.
At the same time there are people who say that only a native speaker can teach good language. Russian teachers make a lot of mistakes themselves. They cannot actually teach.
I cannot agree with the opinion mentioned above for a particular reason. Actually , not native speakers might some mistakes in the language but it does not disqualify them as teachers. They teach what they know and the efficiency sometimes is much higher.
In conclusion , I would like to say that one can learn good English with both teachers who speak your own language and “native speakers” . The efficiency depends on many aspects, including the language level of the student and teacher. Nevertheless , I see more advantages with learning English with Russian speaking teachers.
In conclusion , I would like to say that there are opposing views on this issue. At first sight studying language in a foreign country will give a good result but in actual fact in the beginning Russian speaking teachers will explain the grammar rules better. Thus , I support the idea to study foreign languages with teachers who speak both languages.
