Language Learning and Teaching is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Springer Science+Business Media on behalf of the Association for Language Teaching and Learning. It covers research in the areas of language teaching and learning as well as research on language acquisition, language instruction, communication, and language policy. The journal was established in 1987 and is currently edited by Michaela Kohn and Yih-Chin Tan.

Why do we learn? Why do we teach?
In my first post of the year, I wanted to share some thoughts on what makes us learn. For the past few months, my own life has been a constant blur of learning, learning and more learning. As part of that learning, I’ve been reflecting on why we learn and how we learn. I’m also reflecting on how I teach and my teaching practices. So here goes.
