Well, this is the reality for young British tourists travelling to the Greek party island of Zakynthos - a popular destination for teenagers who want a cheap holiday with friends. Emma, not her real name, told MailOnline: 'I wouldn't go there. There's too much crime and the problem is, the crime isn't exposed or prosecuted. I didn't realise how bad it was over there, my son had a horrific holiday. Charlie, not his real name, said he was on week-long holiday to Zante with ten friends last week and he saw bouncers beat up five teenagers along the strip in Laganas. It comes after footage emerged of another British teenager, James Taylor, 18, being held in a headlock by four bouncers in the CherryBay nightclub in Laganas on July 4 before they took it in turns to punch, kick and elbow him in the face and body. Charlie said this isn't rare at CherryBay club and bouncers would beat up British teenagers aged around 18 or 19 years old twice a night. Charlie said his instinct told him he needed to jump and help the teenager, but he makes the point that it's not just one bouncer attacking them. This isn't just a few punches, this is a beating. Charlie said his friend filmed one British teenager getting beaten up by bouncers at CherryBay one night but they were threatened and forced to delete the video. Charlie said it was obvious that the bouncers, who are mostly Serbian or Albanian, were 'targeting' British tourists. I think they enjoy beating them up. You watch them doing it and they are loving it. They all laugh about it afterwards, they just don't care,' he said. Charlie's mother added: 'It's unacceptable, violent behaviour. It wasn't a safe environment for them and you feel so helpless when there's nothing you can do. Emma also pointed to how drug abuse is rampant in Zakynthos and said drug dealers would walk along the strip and 'push teenagers to take drugs'. Emma said: 'They were offered drugs every day, they tried to push them on them. It's available in all the bars and clubs and then they are followed. The year-old was in a quadbike accident on 8 July with his friend while out in Laganas. They both suffered broken arms were rushed to hospital where Charlie underwent a CT scan before being released from hospital. But when Charlie and his friend walked out of the hospital doors, they were met by 'two big Eastern European men' who bundled them into a car and forced them to withdraw 2, euros from a cash point to pay for the quad bike damage. They took us to this garage and told us we had to pay them 2, euros for the damage. Charlie's holiday hell didn't end there.
