Angela Bassett made a stunning debut on American Horror Story: Hotel with a sensual sex scene with Lady Gaga.
The iconic actress played Ramona Royale, a star 70s actress clearly based on herself, who fell madly in love with Gaga’s The Countess.
They are then shown in an intimate sex scene, tenderly kissing each other, stroking naked flesh and with The Countess lying on top of the actress in a tender embrace wearing just underwear and boots.

The Countess then got a blade from her gloves, cut her breasts - with Ramona passionately licking it all up, insisting: ‘It was glorious.’
The sex scene came in the same episode as Naomi Campbell’s fashionista Claudia Bankson met a truly blood end - butchered in a knife leaving her in a blood-soaked nightie.
Of The Countess, Ramona - who was shown having starred in a lot of Shaft-like 70s action movies - said: ‘She was this rarified timeless creature. She knew everything about art, literature, fashion. This was the world I wanted to live in. She promised I could - forever.’
But they were then seen outside an elevator - with the same scene repeated through the passing years showing them growing increasingly distant.

That didn't take long: The Countess soon has her prey exactly where she wants her
Ramona then fell for a recording artist called Prophet Moses, saying of him: ‘He was without exception the most beautiful man I had ever seen. ‘I always thought she was the great love of my life. How wrong - it was Moe.'
Ramona is then seen cutting her breasts for him in the same way The Countess did for her - before they walk in and see The Countess, dressed all in white, sitting in Moe’s studio with all his friends dead.
‘It’s sad - we could have had a future,’ The Countess said with tears in her eyes. ‘She must have really loved you,’ she told Moe - grabbing his gun and turning it on him to shoot him in the head.

Up close and personal: There were plenty of wandering hands on display
Be still your beating heart: It would not be going for long once she was turned into a member of the undead
‘She took away the only thing I really cared about - and I plan to do the same for her,’ Ramona vowed.
It was not the only seduction scene The Countess was shown having - as she also tried to seduce new home owner Will Drake, even though he is gay.
As she moved close to him, Will admitted: ‘I feel the same way with you as I did when I kissed my first man.’
Telling her that the few times he had been with women ‘ended unfulfilled’, she promised: ‘No danger in that tonight.’
Taking charge: The seductress soon had a gift she wanted to offer her new friend
That looks sore: She used a special claw to rip her skin and let her tainted blood drip down her breast
It tastes like syrup: Thankfully for Angela she was only licking fake blood off Gaga's chest
So much for a Poker Face: Her character was in ecstasy as she turned a new vampire
Their kissing was interrupted by an angry Tristan Duffy who stormed into the room shouting at Will: ‘Where did you get the balls to eat out of my dish, man?’
As she got off of Will to leave, she whispered in his ear: ‘I’ll call you later. And by the way - you’re hard.’
‘I don’t get it, all he has is money,’ a confused Duffy told The Countess later.
She then told him how she had lost all her cash to Bernie Maddoff, saying: ‘Madoff was very good at separating people from their money. Because he would make you beg to give it to him.
‘All my rich friends got richer, 20 percent richer in every year, but he wouldn’t take mine till he could get it all - the stocks, the bond, the hotel. Bernie went to prison and I lost everything.’

Star turn: Slaughter Sister was perhaps the character's magnum opus
Naomi Campbell’s fashionista Claudia become the latest blood death in the show, having first been seen in her room getting angry as her phone cut out while trying to set up a fashion photo shoot.
She was then seen taking off her shirt and showing her bra, before being seen in her nightie in the bathroom - terrified as she thought she saw ghosts.
Assuming it was all her imagination, she laid down in bed just for junkie Gabriel to reach his hands out and grab her neck.
Claudia grabbed scissors during the full on struggle - only for Gabriel to grab them from her and repeatedly stab her to death.
New playmate: As thing grow stale between the girls Ramona decides to look for attention elsewhere
That old trick: She decides to have a vampire underling of her own
Hitting the spot: Her character seems to enjoy the process almost as much as Gaga's
He later insists he killed her by mistake, thinking it was Sally - saying: ‘I thought it was the junky whore. She did this to me - she lied to me - she said that I’d be free.’
But it was not the last we saw of Naomi’s Claudia.
After pediatrician Alex Lowe, played by Chloë Sevigny, walked away from her husband having served him divorce papers, she wanders the elevators - and saw Claudia standing there covered in blood.
‘Is this hell?’ Claudia asked. ‘Nah, if this was hell I’d be the one in that awful Zara knockoff that you’re wearing.’
Big mistake: The rapper decides to draw a gun on an assailant who turns out to be rather dangerous
Age before brawn: In the vampire world the older the creature the stronger they are
Explosive confrontation: And she decides to show her old protege there can be only one queen of the vampires
He literally lost his head: His foolhardly move left him dead on the floor
Motive for revenge: It looks like The Countess will one day live to regret her actions
Running away from the sight, Dr Lowe then saw her son Holden - whose disappearance as a young boy had shattered her life - at the end of the hall, with her kneeling down in front of him and asking: ‘Holden?’
She had earlier reminisced about her devastation at losing him, saying of his birth: ‘I finally fell in love for real. I felt whole - I’d found my soulmate.'
She added: ‘There’s no getting over it - there’s no getting to the other side.’
She was then shown in a bathtub having slit her wrists, with her husband saving her.
Meanwhile Iris, played by Kathy Bates, ended the episode getting Sally to kill her - first with drugs and then a plastic bag over her head - because her son Donovan told her he hated her so much he had previously tried to kill himself to escape her.
Finally: Naomi Campbell's fashionista character gets her commupance
Desperate struggle: But with his supernatural strength it seems there will be only one winner
Making his point: He then started to hack away at his unfortunate victim
Very nasty: The blood spattered pillows and sheets are testament to the nature of the attack
‘I wanted to die! I decided death was my only way away from you,’ he told her. A real mother would have let her son die in peace. Honestly, you should kill yourself.’
But just as Sally was helping her end her life, Liz Taylor had a heart-to-heart with Donovan, telling him: ‘You’ll never find anyone who loves you as much as she does.’
The final scene was him bursting into the room and untying the plastic bag around her head, insisting: ‘She can’t be dead - she’s all I got.’
He then cut his arm and dripped blood in her face, saying ‘come back, come back to me’ - with Iris opening her mouth to allow at least a few drops in.
There was also the promise of more bloodshed after Tristan started the episode by summoning James Patrick March, calling him ‘the greatest serial killer who’s ever lived’ and gushing: ‘I’m a fan.’

That old trick: The vampire blood was once again used to create another undead character
Drinking up: It seems he managed to apply the blood just in the nick of time
Sunset superman: Donovan's actions will make it less pleasant for her to go for summer strolls

Lady Gaga's naked body has been out more on American Horror Story than it has at any point in her career combined.
The musical superstar - who made a switch to acting for this season of the anthology horror series - has bared her backside during a threesome scene in the latest episode of Hotel.
Gaga's The Countess has already stripped off repeatedly in the show but now it's been revealed that her nude proclivities emerged way back when she was still a human and before she became a vampire.
Much like her character, Gaga's transcendence into someone carrying the Ancient Blood Virus was glamorous and decadent.
In the 20s, a young Gaga, before she became the immortal Countess, was an actress who was seduced by film star Rudolph Valentino, who's the spitting image in of her new immortal lover Tristan Duffy .
Back in 1925, the Countess was a film extra trying to make it in Hollywood when she was invited back to Valentino's bungalow.
Once there she ends up having a threesome with Valentino - played by Finn Wittrock - and his wife Natasha (played by Alexandra Daddano).
Then The Countess discovers Valentino has died while she's attending the opening party for the Hotel Cortez.
She attempts to commit suicide but the murderous Mr March saves her and the two soon wed, with The Countess' grief imbuing in her a darkness equal to that of her evil husband.
But the Countess never forgets her true love and discovers Valentino is alive. Valentino was approached by German director F.W. Murnau who tells Valentino he should preserve his beauty by becoming infected with the ancient blood virus Morneau got from a mountain orgy.
Valentino and Natasha then promise to share their virus with the Countess and ask her to run away with them to live happily ever after for all eternity.
But a heartbroken Mr. March eavesdrops on the reunion from the floor of the mausoleum below and enacts his revenge by secretly sealing Valentino and Natasha within the walls of the Hotel Cortez
Now they've escaped and are back to full strength, what does the future hold for The Countess and the Cortez?
